After having done some research on the best places to stay and relax in luxury in Samoa, Seabreeze Resort was my choice for 10 nights with my wife.
Initial communications on the booking were all by email (usually with Wendy), and questions/arrangements were all quickly, clearly and easily dealt with.

A clean, air conditioned people carrier with cold towels and chilled water were waiting for us on arrival at the airport in Samoa and a scenic 1.5 hour complementary (return) transfer to the resort then followed.

From the start and consistently throughout our stay, all of the staff, including management/owners, housekeeping, bar and restaurant staff were fantastic. Always helpful, professional and polite.

We stayed in one of the Ocean View Villas, which was well appointed and clean. An added bonus is the complementary mini bar that is well stocked with a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks upon arrival.

The purpose of our stay was just to relax and Seabreeze is the perfect spot for that. Everything was just a short, warm walk away from our villa; pool, beach, pool bar, restaurant etc.

We made good use of the free kayaks and snorkelling equipment but we really enjoyed the quiet, chilled atmosphere within the resort. I particularly liked the fact that only guests were able to have access beyond a certain point within the resort, which meant that the pool, sun loungers, pool bar and beach were for our exclusive use. Whereas the restaurant was open to visitors.

Talking of which, the food at the restaurant was consistently delicious and of a really good standard. Views over the reef/beach from the restaurant are lovely and if the weather is fine, there are some tables available on an open deck.

We took the resort's Meal Package, (NZD 95 pp per day) which meant that in addition to the complementary breakfast, we also had the option of a single course meal for lunch and two courses for dinner. I added this cost against what we actually ate during our stay and for us it is worked out as a good deal, although it does depend on the cost of the individual meals you eat.

Wendy and Chris the owners, were lovely to deal with. I have to make special mention of Chris and his determination to fix an issue we encountered with the hot water system in our villa. The heater unit was swapped out three times before Chris was happy that our issue had been resolved and then he kept checking in for days afterwards to ensure that we were still happy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 10 night stay and I would have to really struggle to find any negatives worth mentioning - so I won't.

Don' t miss: Samoan Cultural Session on Friday afternoons, Nearby (easy) walks to To Sua Ocean Trench and Vavau Beach and daily Happy Hour at the Pool Bar.

I'd recommend Seabreeze to anyone who wants to stay in a beautifully appointed, well run and tranquil resort in Samoa. It's not cheap but it's certainly worth it.

We had a wonderful stay at Seabreeze. From our communication with Wendy prior to arrival, to the warm greeting and cold water at the arrivals lounge we were taken care of every step of the trip.

I unfortunately broke my leg 2 weeks prior to the trip and Wendy was great in communicating any issues she foresaw with our visit. Turns out, sitting in a beautiful resort for 5 days, sipping cocktails in the pool is the perfect recovery.

Breakfast was fresh and plentiful and we didn’t have one meal we regretted. We were luckily enough to have fresh lobster and seafood on Valentine’s Day which was not only delicious but great value. In our room we also received a very generous mini bar of multiple wines, beers and soft drinks.

The views and the rooms are beautiful but what made our stay even more enjoyable was the local Samoan people who work at the resort. The staff were friendly and attentive and we often got chatting to them about their lives growing up and working in Samoa. Chris, the owner was always available and no request was too much effort.

Would throughout recommend the resort and we will be revisiting this time next year!

We spent an amazing seven days at beautiful Seabreeze Resort. We were greeted at the airport with gorgeous fresh leis, cold face washers and cold bottled water. The airconditioned van very welcoming on our one and a half hour drive to the resort. We were greeted by lovely Stuart and his wonderful staff. A gorgeous beach villa with amazing views of the lagoon and pool and a welcoming sea breeze awaited us. Days were spent around the resort swimming and eating and of course relaxing in the hammock enjoying a cold wine or beer which was replenished daily in our bar fridge. Delicious cuisine is served in the restaurant and yummy pizzas available Saturday and Sunday lunch and a fun time at happy hour around the pool. Friday night is their Samoan fifia night not to be missed. A beautiful beach close by as well as the famous To Sua Ocean Trench. We hired a car and checked out the rest of the Island. Cannot recommend this resort highly enough. Thank you to all the Seabreeze family for seven fabulous days spent in Paradise.

Thank you so much for your incredible review. We really do feel so proud to know that we delivered on our commitment to provide you an exceptional stay in a stunning location with high end facilities. Samoan hospitality is a huge part of the culture here, and together with incredible national pride our staff are amazing at what they do and I will certainly pass on your thanks. We will share your compliments with our staff, they are Seabreeze’s biggest asset and we once again are able to congratulate them and of course the kitchen on providing the best in quality customer service and "Delicious Cuisine" We are thrilled you loved your villa, our attention to detail with their design was important to us and with all our Ocean View Villa’s and Deluxe Ocean View Villas overlooking the lagoon, reef and pool adding a double hammocks for guests to relax in & take in the views created the ultimate tropical experience, Thank you also for touching on some of our points of differences, we are very unique in a lot of areas, preferring to offer an experience to our guests rather just another beach holiday. Our Value-added treats ( Complimentary Mini Bar replenished daily) are a great way of rewarding you for choosing our small Boutique resort with our personalized touches that we have become renowned for. Our Fia Fia is really something special we agree. Choreographed and performed by waiters, housekeepers and a variety of other departments, you see a living culture that comes to life with passion & enthusiasm, that has much more meaning than just a performance for tourists This is our staff’s way of introducing you to a part of our culture that is still a big part of everyday living in our rural villages. We hope that when you need that little touch of Paradise once more, you will join us again. Till Then Alofas Wendy, Chris, Stuart & your Seabreeze family.

We chose this resort because it was adults only, firstly we were picked up by the resorts driver who chewed gum and blew bubbles the whole hour and a half drive to the resort, irritating, we requested lagoon villa for the view, turns out cldnt see the view due to over grown palm trees🌴🙄then they ran out of coconuts?? How do you run out of coconuts on an island full of them??
Now let's talk about the food, this resorts restaurant has won awards in the past sadly in our experience the menu was plain, and uninspiring, very small servings and hugely expensive, also we quite often didn't get what we ordered😱. Over all found our stay pretty average. The host tried his best but I feel it was over priced and needs a complete over haul. We won't be back

Response from Wendy Booth, Owner at Seabreeze Resort Samoa
Responded 21 Apr 2020
Talofa Corinnalyo We are really sad to hear that your stay with us was disappointing and we have taken some time to address your concerns with our staff and management and are desperately sorry that we were not made aware of your issues when you were at the resort, as these things can be fixed if only we are aware of the issues. We really feel it’s vital to get to the bottom of what went wrong, so if I can address the issues you raised one by one please. We have discussed the gum factor with the meet & greet team and we can assure you this has been dealt with and will not happen again. Our Lagoon View Spa Pool Villa has enjoyed some great reviews, but we are now aware that a few of the palms giving privacy to the bedroom had a spirt in growth during the long wet spell prior to your arrival and needed a trim/removal. Had we realized you were unhappy with your view there was a possibility of an upgrade to our Honeymoon Pointhouse that was available during you stay, it’s our managements goal to ensure our guests stay is the best it can be, so had we been aware we most certainly would have considered your needs and acted accordingly instigating any upgrade possible. It is always a balance between privacy and view from the bedroom and we have now taken down some palms and opened up the view we look forward to future guests feedback as we are sure that the view from your bed is truly amazing featuring the historical coastline. If I can explain regarding the shortage of Coconuts? You might not have seen how these are collected but boys climbing unbelievably tall trees with bush knife in mouth is the normal collection process. You would have been aware that the week before you arrived we had some terrible weather and constant rain makes the Palm trunk slippery, so under circumstances like this we would rather have a shortage of coconuts than push suppliers from our village to endanger themselves, we are sure you would agree and we only wish that you had been given the explanation regarding the shortage, we sincerely apologize for the lack of communication. At Seabreeze we pride ourselves on great food and our kitchen and floor staff are really sad that they didn't satisfy your desires. Most of our supplies are air freighted from NZ, and quality produce costs. Our menu is extensive and with over 36 dishes to choose from and the addition of daily specials we normally find guest love our cuisine, but we understand that from your point of view we didn't meet your expectations and we thank you for your feedback, as all feedback is taken constructively and helps us grow as a business. With the current Coronavirus bringing the tourism industry around the world to a standstill there has been plenty of time for reflection and looking at new ways to inspire our guests. Seabreeze is undergoing a major maintenance program and we look forward to showcasing a beautiful new look when we reopen for business. Kind Regards and best wishes.

We went for my birthday, our first time in Samoa, and it won't be our last. Samoa is a truly wonderful and laid back tropical country, and the Seabreeze made it even more special. The team: owners Wendy and Chris, along with Salai, Lavea, Lua, Esther, Joe and Fa’ta and others made sure we had a great time. Gorgeous, clean, airy accommodation in one of the Deluxe Ocean View Villas, consistently some of the best food we ate from a kitchen who really care, a great wee bar in the pool with good cocktails, a beach that we were often the only ones swimming in with plenty of tropical fish and starfish. Friday night is 'local food and culture' and well worth it - always lovely to understand where one is, with delicious food. We've recommended it to many people who have all had the same experience. The Seabreeze has a no children policy, apart from visitors to the restaurant.

We chose Seabreeze due to the positive reviews on Trip Advisor, and we weren’t disappointed, in fact it exceeded our expectations.
It’s a little gem (small, select)
Staff were very warm & friendly, knew our names on day one.
A relaxing environment, no expectations to do anything however if you do there are spa treatments (which we thoroughly enjoyed), kayaking in the bay looking at the bright blue starfish, coral and tropical fishes and trip around the island to see the unspoilt sights which was all organised by Seabreeze staff.
There’s a real feeling of belonging when you stay here.
Food.
We stayed for 8 days ( didn’t want to leave) the lunch and dinner menus changed daily, the food was amazing, the very freshest of fish, beef that was so tender and flavoursome. Breakfast whilst the menu stayed the same the presentation of the first course changed frequently.
There was lots of subtle changes during our stay which I really liked, it was this attention to detail that added to our experience.
On the day of our anniversary we had gone into Apia to visit the Robert Louis Stevenson museum (organised through the resort) on our return we were greeted with a bottle of bubbles a tasting platter of amazing food and all the staff singing happy anniversary.
Then when we went into our villa, WOW, flower petals on the floor, on the bed there was a happy anniversary done in flower petals & two kissing swans, so special, they made us feel special.
Our sincere thanks to the owners Wendy & Chris, the managers at the time of our stay Shelly & Dave and all the wonderful, wonderful staff, who made our holiday 🥰

A super nice welcome from all the staff and owners. The room and view was incredible. Wifi could have been better so we could stream TV, but having a break from being very online was also really nice.

The pool was easy to access for people with mobility issues. A gentle slope with good traction rather than stairs).

Swimming in the cove was great - a lot of fish to see just snorkelling. The currents could get a bit much when the tides are changing though so people should take care.

Food at the restaurant was very good and the service was excellent. Highly recommend all the fish dishes - surimi, tuna, lobster, prawns & mahi-mahi.

A very beautiful location. Quite a long drive for the airport so hire a car or the resort has a shuttle service for a fee.

We recently stayed for 6 nights, but could have stayed longer, overall a great experience, we had the honeymoon suite, which we thoroughly enjoyed, it was a little further away from the other bures, so gave us plenty of privacy.
A very large and comfortable bed with top quality linens, a nice bathroom with an excellent view over the lagoon from the shower, plenty of room to store toiletries.
A very large deck with comfortable chairs and double sun lounge with a spa pool. which was very nice.
We used the resort pool every day and most days had it to ourselves, but of course there were other guests which we mingled with around the pool and at meals times.
The restaurant had a wide selection of food for all meal types. Breakfast was included and started with fresh local fruit, muesli and yoghurt and then you could order off the menu made to order, I highly recommend the apple pancakes, delicious.
For lunch you could order off the restaurant menu and have it at the pool bar, which was very convenient, I highly recommend the calamari for a light snack.
Dinner was also very nice with lots to choose from and all the meals come hot.
There was an included complimentary mini bar which was replenished daily and to your order or beer, wine and soft drink.
It is a small resort, adults only and only 10 bures, which made it feel very intimate and cosy.
The owners Chris and Wendy were very helpful and always on hand to answer any questions and help with local activities and car hire if required.
I highly recommend Seabreeze and can't wait to come back

We had a truly amazing experience staying at Seabreeze. The staff, the service, the food was fantastic. We would highly recommend this resort if you were looking for a relaxing time to unwind and enjoy this beautiful location. The entertainment the staff put on for us was brilliant. The food was fresh and very tasty. Loved the coconut desert!! We took the opportunity to do a full day tour of the island with the resort driver Mal. He was lots of fun and took us to some great sites. We will definitely return.

Talofa Andy. Thank you so much for the wonderful review. we are so happy that you felt the Magic of Seabreeze like so many others. It warms our heart to know that we hold a special place in yours. Thanks for once again complementing our amazing staff and their commitment to making our guests stays amazing. We believe at Seabreeze that our service extends beyond the boundaries of the resort, and making guest have the best experience possible and customizing tours is something that we are good at, with no two couples “must see’s” being exactly the same our tours really are a great way to explore. I will personally pass on your thanks to “Mau” he really loves taking people out to give them a real insight to his way of life and showcase his culture. I think the word Team really does sum up our amazing staff, led by myself and Naui we try & cater for everyone's needs. The entertainment at Seabreeze is spontaneous and often our staff will burst into song with a mix of Samoan favourite’s and western melodies they have picked up from the radio. We have always believed our happy staff are our biggest asset and seeing them enjoy their work each day is a rewarding experience, we do think though that this is helped by the great food that the kitchen prepares for them on each shift. Whatever the reason we are thrilled you enjoyed the “brilliant “ entertainment, they really do perform with passion and enthusiasm. We will pass on your lovely words of support to all our staff and look forward to one day having you back again as so many of our guests choose to experience the ambiance of Seabreeze for a second or third time. So, when the time is right, let us know and we will add our returning guest’s bonus to your booking. Till next time, Alofas Stuart, Naui & your Seabreeze family.

What a fantastic piece of Samoan paradise!
Stunning small resort with the best views from the rooms (we had an Ocean View Villa) and each with lovely large balcony .
Lovely touches in the rooms like fresh flowers, complimentary drinks , biscuits , drink bottles & excellent housekeeping (the rooms were spotless) .
Pool is stunning (& much larger in reality than the photos), the lovely private beach & fantastic snorkelling are about 10 steps away from the pool.
Food in the restaurant was excellent & of high quality .
ALL the staff were so friendly and helpful
, they went to a huge effort to celebrate our daughter’s birthday… complimentary bubbly wine with breakfast, balloons, floral decorations & singing at dinner !
Wendy arranged a cake on request too!
Chris was extremely helpful with suggesting activities & providing tourist advice - he dropped us at To Sua trench & Namua Island , suggested we take the local bus to Apia (fantastic experience) & made a dinner booking in Apia for us too.
The resort is isolated ((1.5 hr drive from airport), so if you want to venture out and about from the resort , car hire is useful but not essential with such helpful staff.
Cash is very necessary in Samoa (when leaving the resort ), get it at the airport ATM as there are no ATM’s on the South Coast.
One of the best holidays ever, a fantastic cultural experience and so relaxing .
Seabreeze is pricey but very worth the $$$ .
Would definitely love to return.
