.....otherwise average. Another hotel where no one seemed to be in charge or really care about guests. Has it changed hands? Nice dogs to welcome us. The room was ok, bathroom so dark it was impossible to put on make up. The dining room was bleak, with no tables set - just bare glass tops. No flowers, candles, cheap cutlery....

This hotel just outside of Ibarra ranks as one of the best places I have ever stayed! Family owned and operated it offers an enjoyable experience with awesome mountain views in a nature setting. The vegetables and fruit raised on the premises (it is a working farm) made for delicious meals, and the coffee at breakfast, grown and roasted on...

We were treated like old friends and really felt connected to both the lovely setting and our hosts. Donna and Carlos were great! The facilities were top notch, the food was wonderful, and the conversation the best. This will be our place to when visiting the Ibarra area and we are planning our next trip already.

On a business trip to Ibarra I got to know this Hosteria. I am very of having found this place. Lovely managers with whom I enjoyed after dinner conversations, excellent locally grown food and wonderful location facing the old railway of Ibarra. For sure I will return to the place.

I was looking for a hotel not in the city and with fresh air. After trying 2 nearby haciendas, one expensive and one with no rooms available, found this one in the Internet, and I'm glad I did. Description: This is a family owned farm. The property has rooms with warm and comfortable beds, and cabins or "cabañas" for families...

We stayed four nights starting on January 15th. Carlos picked us up from airport in Quito and was a great host. The property was lovely and well maintained. A good breakfast was provided each morning and some of our best meals while in the country were enjoyed in the evenings in the dining room. You must try the quinoa soup...

Hosteria Cananvalle took very good care of us from the room, to the food, arranging transport, and any other questions or needs we had. Most importantly for us they were fine with us bringing our dog not only to the hosteria but into the room with us, which is basically a must have for us on travel within Ecuador. They...

we had a 2 night stay at Cananvalle and have been very happy with our choice. The rooms were in mint condition, the breakfast was very good and lots, the surroundings have been well maintained and all was located close enough and yet far enough from town. Te dinners offered in the evening are a delight. Recommendable for singles, couples...

We stayed 3 nights in this lovely bed and breakfast in the hills outside Ibarra. where we were welcomed by Doreen and Carlos, who made us feel very welcome. Our room was small but nicely furnished and looked out onto a garden full of flowers and birds. The common area is spacious with a nice view of the surrounding area....

The property is beautiful and purposeful. We loved the paths and gardens. The dining area with a wall full of windows made the dining experience delightful. The owners were thoughtful, attentive hosts. The location was remote enough to feel like you were tucked away, but it was actually very close to the amenities of Ibarra.
