We very much enjoyed our stay in the Isla de Banos. The hotel is very clean and well-kept, the staff is exceptionally friendly and very helpful, the location is very good (just a few min walk from the centre) and the breakfast in the garden excellent. A surprisingly nice extra it was the massage which was offered in a room...

This guesthouse is at the end of a no through road, so had none of the traffic of the centre and also has a lovely small jungle like garden. It was however centrally located: five minutes' walk to the main plaza, ten minutes' walk to the bus terminal, same to the basilica, fifteen minutes to the cascada and Piscinas de...

The rooms are simple but they have gorgeous windows! Bathrooms are pretty tiny but they're usable. Whole place was very clean. Staff were very friendly but don't speak much English. Good breakfast and good location! Interesting and quirky decor.

First the positive. The common areas were very lovely, beautiful garden with outdoor table and fireplace. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful with real coffee. However, there was no great support of the guests in terms of helping you to figure out what there is to do in Baños. The owner is distant and the person in charge is very...

Enjoyable stay in a hostel on the end of a quiet street...mostly. As other reviewers mentioned, you may be awakened by the early morning serenade of school children. We actually didn't mind it and thought it was interesting to hear the children singing. The grounds are beautiful and it's an easy walk to the main streets of the city. The...

The hotel/hostel (it's something in between) is nice but very expensive for what you get. The most disturbing thing in this property was the unfriendliness of its staff, the receptionist didn't even smile when we told it was our honeymoon and the highlight was when we asked for an extra towel and were refused (!!!), being told "one towel per...

Really nice hotel, good furnishing, staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. Large breakfasts of fruit, yoghurt, excellent bread ham and cheese. Only downsides are rooms can transmit a little noise depending on your neighbours and wi-fi varies between rooms, mine was unreliable but others in the group had no issues

I was planning to stay here for just one night, but I ended up staying for three nights. The hotel was really nice and the staff was very friendly. The place was beautiful and the prices for the rooms were really good! The German manager was awesome and he even gave me a lift to Ambato when I left. I...

The hotel is nice and well maintained. The staff members are kind and efficient, same as the owner who is usually around. The rooms are clean, spacious with some furniture to make a confortable stay, and the bed and pillows are great. Hot water, WiFi and good breakfast are part of the deal, so you'll get a good value for...

Our room was big, with large windows and a little balcony. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. Staff was super friendly. Spa was lovely. All stuff you've read already. Here's the reason you should stay here: we handed our dirty laundry to the staff upon our arrival. Next morning, we realized we'd left cash in a pocket and mentioned it to...
