Los Cauquenes Resort + Spa + Experiences often earns praise for its picturesque setting on the Beagle Channel, with many guests enchanted by the stunning views and appreciative of the shuttle service to Ushuaia. The hotel's rooms are considered comfortable and spacious, yet some guests suggest they could benefit from modern updates and quieter surroundings.
While opinions on value vary, with critiques about the cost not always aligning with quality, others feel the expense is justified. The service frequently receives commendations for being warm and attentive, and the clean, cozy common areas, alongside the praised spa facilities, contribute to a welcoming atmosphere.

One of the best decisions of the trip to Ushuaia was choosing this hotel Really, I was surprised by the place. I loved the attention of all the hotel employees, the good disposition for everything. Breakfast, great! A 10. Super complete and with different options for every taste (and delicious!) It has a bar with a beautiful view, music and attention to have a drink or dinner there. It also has a living room that is super warm (as if you were in the living room of your house) Like the restaurant: Reina Mora, very delicious. As for the room, not very big nor very small. I have double scoliosis and the first day we arrived I noticed that the mattress was not for me (as well as the pillow). I asked if there was a harder mattress and a pillow menu (as there usually are in these hotels) and it changed my rest completely As for the spa, excellent! The attention, the temperature of the pool, the jacuzzi, with snacks and fruits available (nothing to object!) The view? The photos speak for themselves. I just (and I say this constructively) would like them to clean the glass on the spa terrace every day because the steam from the hot water makes it fog up a lot and I realized that they don't clean it every day because there were "drawings" on it. glass that was still there with the passing of the days But really that didn't "opaque" my stay at all. It has a very nice private beach to have some mates over the bay. The truth is, this hotel is a complete 10!! I hope to come back soon

First time in Ushuaia and happy to have chosen this hotel for our stay. The hotel is located in a private neighborhood on the Beagle Canal which makes you have beautiful views that you can enjoy (even if you do not have a room with a canal view) from all the environments that the hotel offers, from the reception, the winter garden, the spa🙌🏻, the Reina Mora restaurant and those large windows if you use the staircase and not the elevator. Really the hotel is beautiful!! Its decoration, its atmosphere, its gastronomy. The attention of all the staff is excellent, they always make you feel that you are very welcome!! The hotel is about 10/15 minutes from the center and offers transfers to and from the hotel at set times. They give you two complimentary bottles of water in the room, which you can refill with hot/cold water dispensers in the hallways. It is a hotel where you will really enjoy, relax and rest. Small details towards the guest that I will not tell you so that they will also surprise you as we do. Proud as 🇦🇷 that we have this hotel to offer the world.

Hotel in excellent location, outside the bustle of the city, right on the banks of the canal, stunning views, the structure of the hotel is excellent, the common areas should be updated, the remodeled rooms are comfortable and very tastefully noble materials, wood, leather, linens, all of excellent quality, the other rooms are not all in the same condition, there are some very well and others really aged. Good and full breakfast and very good dinner. Noteworthy is the attention of some staff members, waiters, janitor drivers and supervisor who did the impossible because we had a very pleasant stay

We just left a 3 day stay here, and after reading some of the reviews, I think there needs to be some understanding for what this hotel offers, where it offers it. Los Cauquenes is situated on an idyllic section of the Beagle Channel and has created large sitting areas in the lobby for all guests to enjoy that look directly onto the Channel and the Chilean Andes across the way. The breakfast is copious and the dining room comfortable. And, again, all the tables have a view of the Channel. The rooms are clean. Ours had the same spectacular view of the Channel as the lobby. There is plenty of closet space to store your things and the heaters are manually operated by turning a knob, there is no thermostat to adjust, but they work, almost too well, but the windows also open if you want to cool things off once you shut off the heaters after getting warm. After an all-day hike in the pouring rain in 40 degree fahrenheit weather, those heaters were a gift to warm us up and dry our clothes out. The staff was very helpful and courteous, the concierge informative and the hotel's private boat excursion was excellent to see the Channel and the wildlife on the archipelagos in the Channel.
If you are looking for the the experience of a Ritz Carlton, Los Cauquenes isn't going to be able to provide it, but then again neither is any hotel in Ushuaia. This is a developing and extremely remote town and the hotel exceeds expectations when you bear that in mind. I read some of the previous reviews and think them unfair. The staff is there to meet your needs. Given costs and location, the reviews that say it should be renovated are unfair. My husband and I discussed this and if thought of a few minor things that would greatly enhance the experience to make it feel more like a 4 or 5 star hotel: 1) invest in some bedside devices that allow you to plug in your devices via a cord rather than an outlet on the nightstands 2) invest in some softer pillows 3) offer some washcloths 4) have turndown service with fresh towels so if you've come in from a cold outdoor activity, you know they're on their way
We hope to return one day to Ushuaia, this time to go to Antarctica, and if we do, we will certainly return to Los Cauquenes.

The hotel is beautiful and offers a splendid view of the canal. The spa is fine, although for the price is what you would expect. The outdoor pools and hot tubs, which overlook the lake, offer a spectacular view. However, the pool is small for the number of guests. The restaurant boasts a Fine Dining Fan, but the dishes are too expensive for the quality of the food. As for the rooms, I had a bad experience. I was touched by a room near the entrance and all the people arriving were heard. Besides, the mattress was totally misshapen. When claiming, they made the change the next day. The stove constantly makes noise, who likes to sleep silently abstain. The bathroom has no extractor, which causes moisture to condense on the walls after bathing. It also lacks a dryer, something essential for winter with lots of snow. On the other hand, the concierge service is good and useful to choose and organize the experiences in the area Type of tripVacation · As a couple Rooms1.0Service5.0Location4.0 Highlights of the hotelLuxury · Amazing view · Romantic RoomsIt is an old large room, that the stove constantly makes noise is UNACCEPTABLE, unless they can do nothing to solve it, the bed is two small beds joined by an uncomfortable pillow, the bathroom without extraction, which causes it to condense and fall water through the walls. The TV is smart. Only good point.

We enjoyed our stay at LCRSE. We were picked up at the airport by a friendly hotel staff member right outside the arrival area. The front desk folks were warm and friendly. The location is beautiful--right on the Beagle Channel with views from most rooms as well as from the bar and restaurant. The breakfast was very well presented, and we had dinner on property both nights to rave reviews. The pools and spa area were quite nice. The concierge helped us with arranging some adventures which were really fun. I highly recommend LCRSE for your Ushuaia adventures.

We went in the winter in family. The hotel is about 15 minutes from the airport and the main shopping street of the city, but they offer regular transfers that work very well (included in the price). Staff very friendly and attentive, including in dealing with the children. Very well preserved and functional facilities, with highlight for the size of the rooms (we stayed in a double room); also exceptional spa with heated pool, sauna and jacuzzi. Great restaurant, although a bit time-consuming for the arrival of the dishes. Amazing hotel location with views of the Beagle Canal and Martial Mountains. Seafront area of the hotel very good to play in the snow with the children. I highly recommend and intend to return.

It is a beautiful resort in a beautiful environment, the most notable thing about the place is the attention of all its employees who are waiting for you to have a wonderful vacation... I highlight the attention of Lucas in the Restaurant who invited us to know the true taste of the Crab. Very complete buffet breakfast, the Restaurant has very competitive prices with other restaurants in the city and the dishes are outstanding. The spa is very nice and comfortable. The transportation service to the Center is very comfortable. Some details to improve: -Soundproofness of the rooms (we stayed in 203) -Some aesthetic maintenance details due to the passage of time, beautifying the wood, etc. -Some transfer drivers, although not rude, contrast with the excellent attention of the rest of the hotel staff. We would return without a doubt!

Good location but terrible welcome and unfriendly staff Feet in the water facing the sea, quiet at the end of the town, Los Cauquenes Resort is very well located. But this is the only advantage of this hotel, whose hotel services are completely ordinary, nothing more! On the other hand, the welcome was deplorable: we were almost obliged to apologize for disturbing the unfriendly attendant, busy with her papers, to complete the check-in. A check-in without smiles, requiring us to ask for useful information one by one... The experience was also deplorable for the check-out, for which an additional hour had been requested, but which was sharply refused to us. In short, a bad experience and a bad memory. Conclusion: there are a lot of hotels in Ushuaïa, avoid Los Cauquenes Resort!
Good location but terrible reception and unfriendly staff Located right by the water, facing the sea, in a peaceful area at the edge of the city, Los Cauquenes Resort is very well situated. However, that is the only advantage of this hotel, as its hospitality services are quite ordinary, to say the least! On the contrary, the reception was deplorable: we were practically forced to apologize for bothering the unfriendly attendant, who was busy with her paperwork, just to check in. A check-in without smiles, requiring us to ask for necessary information one by one... The experience was equally disappointing during check-out, for which an extra hour had been requested but was bluntly denied. In short, a bad experience and a bad memory. Conclusion: there are plenty of hotels in Ushuaia, so avoid Los Cauquenes Resort!
Good delivery but terrible reception and anti-patic personality Located next to the water, near the sea, in a quiet area at the very edge of the city, Los Cauquenes Resort is very well located. Sin embargo, this is the only benefit of this hotel, only its usual hospitality services, so we do not decide more! On the other hand, the reception is deplorable: practically our guests are obliged to exonerate us by molesting the friendly receptionist, occupied with our papers, only to carry out the check-in. A check-in without warning, we are obliged to provide the necessary information one at a time... The experience was also disappointing during the check-out, so we requested an additional hour but we suddenly negotiated. In summary, a bad experience and a bad experience. Conclusion: There are many hotels in Ushuaia, so I avoided Los Cauquenes Resort.

It may be at the end of the worth, but it was heavenly. The entire staff treated us like their favorite family member. The hotel was so nice that we enjoyed staying in and watching live World Cup games. Daily breakfast was absolutely awesome. Choices, freshness and quality. The waitresses were all angels. The reception staff was extremely helpful in organizing local activities. As well as clarifying what each excursion was like; beagle channel boat ride, dinner on the boat, the helicopter ride, trips to the lighthouse, on and on and on.

Yes, there is a hotel shuttle. When I made my reservation, the concierge emailed and asked if a shuttle should be booked. You can also email the hotel and get it set up for the exact time of your arrival. Our driver was prompt and polite.
There are more places to choose from in the Ushuaia area.
