Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hi! My family and I stayed here during our vacation. we booked about 5 rooms with this hotel because we were traveling as a large group. Not only did the hotel rip us off by charging us different rates for the exact same rooms and try to be sneaky about it, but when i got to breakfast at 10:01, and breakfast closed at 10 and all the stores were closed on new years day, the manager of the hotel wouldn't be kind enough to give me some cereal that i saw a large tub of in the kitchen because "she was busy eating, go away." I am a 22 year old law student and never in my life have i felt so hurt and disgusted by a management and a team. The hotel itself is also disgusting. PICTURES ARE EXTREMELY DECEIVING. It's far from the town and really inconveinent. Yes they offer a bus, but the

Every view was though parking lot or rocks. Walls where thinner then my hair, heard everything! Breakfast was terrible,as was the service! you need to take a bus to town which stop running at 10 pm Check your bill, they charge different rates for same room. Maybe a 2 star hotel , my daughter cried

We stayed in El Calafate over Christmas ... booked our hotel arrangements in late November, hopeful that Edenia Hotel would be okay, and it was! The room was clean and contemporary, and we had a fabulous view of Lago Argentino. The site is some distance from town, but within walking distance for those craving fresh air, which we did! However, the hotel does provide regular free shuttle service to town = super-convenient! The staff even arranged our tour to El Perito Moreno glacier. The very absolute best part of the hotel experience was Pancho, the shuttle driver. Pancho was patient and kind ... absolutely fabulous! We were able to obtain a taxi driver for a wild excursion to Cabo Virgenes through Pancho. Thank you, thank you Pancho!

it's a good choice if you don't mind that is located about 8 km out from the centre, but there's hourly free transfer to the centre all day. rooms are o.k., not very big, old TV, but very clean, bathroom spotless and there's a great lake view from the window. staff is very friendly, they offer you lunch box if you are all day out for tours. breakfast is argentinian style (mostly cakes, sweets, little fruit choice). There's also sauna. I can reccomend this hotel, but there are other choices too (design suites or xelena).

Stayed here recently on two separate occasions. The first time was the best the staff are all just incredibly helpful and kind. Rooms have amazing view. Breakfast is ok. Not great but ok. Could be a little picky and say that they tried to charge me for things this time that they didn't a few weeks ago, but the staff outweigh that.

I stayed at this hotel in mid-March for 3 nights with 3 other friends. We chose this hotel because of the high reviews and unobstructed views of Lago Argentina. The staff was super friendly and made sure that breakfast was prepared early enough for us to eat before our daily excursions and always there to welcome us back from a long day. Also, the views are spectacular! However, we did struggle with getting tours to pick us up from here because it is outside of the main town of El Calafate and we had to order cabs to pick us up for our early morning tour departures. The hotel does run a free shuttle which we used a few times to get back after dinner at night.

I spent three nights there while visiting Calafate. The personel there is awesome and very professional. Rooms are really good and views from the hotel are amazing. It is a bit far away from downtown, and that is why it has these exclusive views. There is a regular shuttle service ride by Pancho, the best one for directions and restaurant recommendations, a really nice person to spend some time talking to. The only thing to improve would be the restaurant, there are better choices downtown.

What a wonderful hotel in a beautiful place! The service was freaking amazing -- from Roman at the front desk to Pancho the shuttle driver and everyone in between! The room was large, clean, modern, and comfy. While the distance from the city center was daunting at first blush, the free shuttle was easy, convenient, and fast. It's as if you're in your own little world with terrific views of the area. It is a gem in a sea of typical tourist offerings. Loved it!

I have stayed at this hotel for one night with my family, we booked two king bed rooms for the four of us. We rented a car so we went there by ourselves. The hotel's location at first was very tricky, the GPS could not find its location and even the locals were having a hard time to identify the address (we only found the hotel after asking the local guards that were near the Lago Argentino, who even called the hotel for us). The hotel isn't exactly close to the city centre, which was a bit of a disadvantage, it is about a 7km drive, the way out of the hotel to the city centre was easy but we would always struggle on the way back. But the hotel however is halfway (if not less) from the Glaciarium museum and to the Perito Moreno, so if you plan to go to these places this hotel's
