The stay was excellent. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and quiet. The beds are super comfortable for a good rest after daily activities. The bathroom is super spacious, the shower also has a bathtub that invites you to take a soak to relax. The common spaces are beautiful, they have very interesting design details. The internal pool has a good temperature and is open until 9 p.m. It's not for the whole day, there are some moments when it gets crowded, but in general you can enjoy some time there. It has armchairs and lounge chairs where you can rest and chat calmly and they provide you with towels. We do not use the facilities of the rest of the SPA. The kitchen staff is a 10, from the cooks to the waiters who assist with breakfast. They are always in a good mood to welcome you every morning. The breakfasts are abundant and varied, with delicacies such as red fruit tart that cannot be missed! We never went to the hotel dining room for dinner, but they have a decent menu to get by, although it is not the most varied. The guys at the reception with Giorgio at the head are the best. A genius when it comes to recommendations for places to eat, excursions or services to hire. The rest of the hotel staff are also super helpful and willing to answer questions and queries as well as make reservations for whatever you want to do. The location is very good, close to everything important, you just have to keep in mind that it is on a hill that is complicated if you come on foot or are very tired, but it is nothing that cannot be solved with a taxi for the return or by renting A vehicle that I recommend when taking some excursions, exploring the city and the coast. For the hotel stay itself, it is not necessary. Without a doubt, I would return to the hotel if I returned to El Calafate.

The hotel has spacious and very welcoming environments. The breakfast schedule is extensive from 6 to 10, which allows you to have breakfast before an excursion (which sometimes leaves at 7). The room has a large and very comfortable bed, the bathroom is very clean and the water comes out hot without any problem. The staff is very attentive.

Great hotel, staff were friendly from check in and while our room wasn’t ready yet we were able to relax in the reception area. The place is so lovely, modern and well decorated but still manages to make you feel like you can relax and enjoy the common areas.
The pool area is great, large heated pool with a waterfall. Nice beds to relax on and a water station. Room was spacious, big comfy bed and powerful hot shower. Lunch boxes available to order the night before a day out. We felt they were good value including sandwich, bar, fruit, cake and water for around £4/5 but only downside was sandwich was quite dry (they don’t use butter). Food in their restaurant was well priced and tasty. Plenty of good restaurants in the town but we were quite tired one night so stayed in. The hotel is on a bank, which we liked for good views and it’s still only 5-10 mins tops to the Main Street. Couple downsides, breakfast each day was the same and quite basic. All self serve so some things may be left out a while. Corridors are a little echoey so take earplugs if you’re a light sleeper. Just a minor but hooks by the sink would be useful to hang hand towels. Safe didn’t work in the room the whole mechanism wasn’t there.
Overall really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. Just those few improvements would make it perfect.

We came from a hotel in Ushuaia of the same category where the reception staff always welcomed us with a smile and asked us every day how we were and if we needed anything, including recommendations/pleasant talks to ensure we had a pleasant stay.
We arrived at the Esplendor... Ornella (the girl at the reception) is always "overwhelmed", she serves you as if I was serving thousands of people and there were 2 of us.
We greeted my husband with each entry/exit, they never even looked at us or asked anything. You always get the feeling that it bothers them that you are there or that you ask them something. Not at all helpful.
I highlight the breakfast girls, that every morning they came to ask us for the room and were attentive to our requests.
Positive: the bed is amazing, as is The pillows.
Negative: Corduroy curtains with a cut square that you can turn on and off and have natural light. Aesthetically awful, as is the lighting. The one above the TV was a horrible white lamp. In the bathroom, don't try to put on makeup, you'll never see how it looks on you because of how poorly positioned the lighting is. TV with a pixelated image, the decoration seems to have been put together by an architect who loves horns, he put them on EVERYTHING: lamps, doors. Something very crazy happened to me (?) which is having a safe, after trying to use it, there is a little sign that you have to ask the reception for a key. Wouldn't it be logical that they give it to me as soon as income?.
Breakfast lacks variety, salty or you have lactal breads that you have to toast yourself and cold cuts. Then there are many dishes of sweet potato or quince pasta frola. Fruits only grapefruit/orange and a fruit salad that is canned mixed with natural fruit.
Don't eat too much, because even though you are 5 blocks from downtown, 1 block access uphill and not at all comfortable.
Finally, the reception registers everything badly, they talk to you as if they are working hard and cannot give you attention. When I was leaving, Miguel from reception said: "He owes $84,0000." I patiently explained that I only consumed two meals of chicken for an excursion, that my stay was already paid for and that I had emails from them/an invoice proving all payment. She made me look up the bill because it was obviously not in her system and she charged me for the two meals (which she said the breakfast girls hadn't charged us) because I mentioned it to her and I'm being honest.
When I was waiting for my transportation to leave, a woman was complaining that they charged her with drinks that she did not consume.
Nothing. Everything administrative and reception was terrible. They need good coaching on how to treat a client and record what was consumed/paid.
I will not return nor do I recommend it.

We had a very good experience at the hotel. The service was excellent at all times, both at reception and in the bar and restaurant. The common areas are spacious and warm, with good design and comfort. The bar and restaurant are pleasant environments and provide good service. The spa is fine, so far. The water in the heated pool was too hot and the atmosphere in general is quite hot in the area but, despite the fact that there were quite a few people, there is enough space. The rooms are, in my opinion, to the weakest point. They have VERY little storage space and are quite uncomfortable, minimal drawers and few shelves mean that the clothes are all stacked or directly in the suitcase. The bed was fine, normal. The pillows were quite old, they felt poorly stuffed, half misshapen. In our room, the bathroom was very good, except for the sink part which is external and is partially separated from the bed by... a curtain. The view is good, the enclosures are of good quality, preventing the entry of the cold quite well, and the heating was enough to not get cold or suffocate. If you care about decoration, you will notice that they abuse deer antlers in all environments, and bedrooms are no exception. The parking lot is uncovered and seems a bit small in relation to the size of the hotel. We went as a couple, we found it to be a very warm place that gave us a very good experience and rest. Recommendable!

THE GOOD: The hotel is beautifully decorated, with a great "elevated mountain lodge" vibe. The lobby and restaurant area are beautiful, and breakfast was tasty. Having a pool and sauna was also nice to unwind after a long day of hiking. The bedroom was large and comfortable. The hotel is not on the main strip of town but a short 10-minute walk away, so it's no inconvenience.
THE NOT SO GOOD: The level of service was definitely not up to par with the price/category of the hotel. At those prices you expect attentive, effective service and that's not what we got. They seemed overwhelmed and unprepared, and they made various mistakes throughout our stay (prepared the wrong lunch boxes even though we made sure 4 times before that they had gotten the order right, mistakenly gave our room key to other guests who entered our room, etc.). None of it was that important, but their reaction made us feel like we weren't important to them at all - they even said they'd send complimentary gifts to our room to apologize, which they never did (thus making the matter even worse).
Overall it's a good choice for lodging in El Calafate as long as you don't have crazy high standards regarding service.

A very nice hotel with a beautiful view, well located but a bit uncomfortable to walk to the center since it is on a hill. The attention is good and cordial. The breakfast was good, for the level that the hotel has and aspires to, it would have to improve. The complaint is that being an international hotel, there were no bathrobes, slippers, or enough soap in the rooms, only one for 3 people. Being a Hotel like this, these are things that you don't have to keep asking for, they have to be in the rooms. I had read comments before going and there is one that caught my attention and when I was there I checked it out and it made me very happy, it is the decoration, deer antlers everywhere, the truth is that I didn't like it at all. For the price it has, it should improve. But El Calafate is so beautiful that it makes you forget everything! It's worth visiting!

I was in this excellent hotel for 4 days, I must mention first of all the excellent staff both in the restaurant area and in the lobby, polite and neat, everyone always trying to assist you and solve every issue so that your stay is perfect, they note the warmth, quality, and courtesy of its manager Giorgio, always attending to the passenger in person and giving him tourist recommendations of the area and the Hotel, his restaurant, I had dinner twice, is excellent, as is the attention of the waiters, the rooms Beautifully decorated, clean comfortable rooms, quality towels and towels, as well as the view of the lake. I was in room 110, giant beds with quality sheets, very well heated with a minibar, the spacious lobby comfortable to wait for transfers to the excursions, or use the PC or relax in an excellently decorated environment, the hotel bar with excellent service, I recommend the ham and cheese toasties, an excellent place when returning from excursions is the pool subsector, comfortable for adequate relaxation with the exact temperature of the water and Its sauna leaves you very rested, equipped with changing rooms, towels, lounge chairs, without a doubt an excellent hotel, everyone works to make your stay a marvel, without a doubt the best in the area, a few blocks from the shopping and gastronomic center of Calafate, and I once again insist on the excellent manager Giorgio's attention in solving all kinds of questions. I will definitely return to this Hotel.

We spent only two nights in El Calafate and staying at Esplendor was the perfect way to get a view of the town and lake while staying within walking distance of all the main restaurants, shops, and the lake.
We had an early trip to see the Perito Moreno Glacier and breakfast at the hotel was the perfect way to prepare for the long day ahead! We also had an early departure to the airport the next day (6:30am) but still had time to get breakfast in before we left.
The room was beautiful - we loved the mountain aesthetic and had a direct view of the lake and mountains from our room.

The photos of the hotel are very beautiful, the reception is really spacious and modern, but the room left to be desired. The shower is good, but the glass compartment does not seal well and wet the whole floor, washing virtually on the side of the bed, blackout curtains encased and with several light entry points. The mattress needs to be changed, all sunk already, the towels could be better and the replacement of the amenities is according to the mood of the maid, came a time that we had 4 kits of shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom, but soap did not repuse at any time in the 3 days we stayed. Breakfast is good, but exactly the same every day, there is no espresso, only past and is not tasty. Little fruit choice as well. In general I would not stay again, I found the cost and benefit bad, the only positive points were the cordiality of the staff and the location, which is close to the center, and can walk peacefully
