On the plus side : the views. They are really stunning : it's probably the only hotel in Calafate that does not have any obstacle in front of it, and its perfect location allows for incredible sunsets, private views over the laguna and its wildlife. Add a really friendly staff, always ready to go the extra mile to give you...

We were there beginning of April. It is a quite far from town, if you don't have your own vehicle, be ready to spend some money on taxis. We had a very nice room facing the lake, but were a little disappointed to see that the main road was also in front of us, not too near, however (this also...

This is a quite place outside of the main city. This is a plus if you're doing the Big Ice trek with Hielo y Aventura since you'll be the last to get picked up and the first to get dropped off. There's a nice seating lounge on the first floor with lot of board games to kill some time if...

This hotel is family-run and it shows. From the time of your arrival you get personalised service and a sense of warmth. The hotel is situated on top of a hill, with stunning views of the lake. Its isolated position means it’s quite quiet, as there is little road noise. There were a few barking dogs but that didn’t worry...

This hotel with a great view, is close to a small quaint tourist town that has some very good restaurants. It is walkable if you are in good shape with comfortable shoes, or if you like, a taxi will come quickly and is reasonably priced. Even though the staff consisted of friendly and informative people, it could not make up...

Hosteria La Estepa is just a 5 minute drive from the main town of El Calafate. We really enjoyed our stay and were very thankful that the hotel allowed us to stow our excess luggage in our rooms even though we left for one night in the middle of our stay to go on an overnight excursion. They were very...

Most hotels view their service based on money, Hosteria La Estepa conceive their business based on care. I have never felt so well taken care in a hotel before. All the staff was friendly, helpful and understanding. The view is amazing, the walks around are breathtaking and the food served is amazing. Thank you so much for the amazing service...

The setting is impressive with lovely views over El Calafate and Lago Argentino from many of the rooms, the restaurant and terrace. The rooms are comfortable and well-equipped and all of the staff were friendly and very helpful. The food is very good, both for dinner and breakfast. The hotel is a little way outside of the centre of El...

First of all this place had a great view of Lago Argentina, I spent my first 10 minutes in the room just sitting and admiring it. Bed was comfy, toiletries were high quality, wifi was good, breakfast spread was decent (some eggs would be a nice addition, though). Staff was pretty friendly, although I think they charged a bit more...

This hotel is 1.5k outside town so about a 30 minute walk but also only about £3 in a taxi. It also has the advantage that if you book a tour there's a good chance that you will be picked up last and dropped off first. The view over the lake is beautiful especially from the upstairs lounge. The staff...
