A sheep farm. The location is beautiful - surrounded by open grassland leading to Argentina lake, with the mountains far way. A great place for horse riding, which originate at the farm. The room is simple, with paper-thin walls. On the day we left there was no water pressure. No Wi-Fi. The lounge is cosy, with great views outside. A...

The location is superb, on the banks of Lago Argentino. The bird life is amazing, six Condors came down to feast on a sheep carcass while I was there. There is also a large bird-viewing shed for really keen bird watchers. I spent only two nights here but easily could have stayed for longer, and done more horse riding and...

We were here for less than 24 hours but I wish we had had more time. First of all, the view from the dining room is stunning. The sofa area in front of the fire place is a lovely touch and it was nice to sit there with a book to warm up after a visit to the glacier. Some...

We stayed here following a long trek in Torres Del Paine and were looking for some good horsebackriding. We got that and amazing scenery! Very nice people run the lodge and the horseback riding facility. The ride was easily one of the best ever. Gorgeous weather, well behaved horses for our varying experience levels and fun loping across the Patagonian...

We spent 3 days there and was the highlight of our trip to Patagonia. They provided great service, very friendly staff and the food is as advertised: very, very good. We chose this place initially because of its convenient prices in comparison to most ranches "estancias". The location is perfect because of the amazing view. We did horseback-riding one day...

Twenty kilometers outside El Calafate on the way to Perito Moreno Glacier you really need a car to stay here. It would be possible without one, but you will likely spend more on taxis than the rental. El Galpon is a working sheep ranch that is an interesting agritourism stop even if you do not stay here. The grounds are...

From the moment we arrived at El Galpon del Glaciar we were treated with such kindness and respect. The 3 young ladies who are here to work during the summer from Buenos Aires were an absolute delight and so very helpful. The room was cozy and warm with a beautiful view of Lago Argentino, and the horses and sheep from...

El galpon is almost in between El Calafate and glaciar national park. You can get in the national park with 40 min driving in nice landscape. Also 35 min driving to El Calafate. El galpon has really nice view. They offer other excursions in the ranch that I can recommand. Breakfast and dine was very enough. Hotel location is really...

Great place to stay. Best food we had in Argentina. Great service. This is an older ranch with a lot of character. Fun sheep shearing show and Tango show with dinner. Very quiet and comfortable. It's a few miles from El Calafate but a taxi is very affordable. Do not miss Perito Moreno Glacier.

Absolutely fabulous experience at this quaint ranch 20 km from Glacier Morano. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the staff second to none. They offer several horseback riding treks which would satisfy riders of all abilities. Imagine riding horseback to the glacier or riding to the top of a mountain which gives panoramic views for miles including the Glacier, Largo...
