Excellent hotel, with a magnificent location facing the lake. Very attentive staff and very good breakfast. The quadruple room was very comfortable for the family and had a huge balcony and a swing-type chair. Perhaps the toilet would be the only thing I would recommend improving, there was some dust and some spider webs outside that I asked them to remove.

This hotel is rightly classified as what is commonly called a boutique hotel. We found it absolutely charming with truly caring staff: I would particularly like to mention Paulo at reception, who was very kind with a real sense of service, and Fernando at the restaurant, charming and very competent in wine matters. Our very large room was very comfortable, really with good bedding, a sofa and two large armchairs where it was so pleasant to sit. But the best is yet to come: a real terrace with a breathtaking view and inside the room a large fireplace in which we had the joy of making a wonderful wood fire. Very pleasant breakfast even if without originality but it is true that all the hotels in Argentina seem to offer strictly the same products... at least here they were of quality

Location is great with gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Our room was really big, and everything was very clean. The heated floor in the bathroom was really nice, but it heated the bedroom uncomfortably if you left the door open. There were numerous worn areas on rugs, floors and walls. The spa pool was ok - large, but the water could have been hotter. The sauna was nice, and you could set the temp you wanted, but it took 2 hours for it to get to 70 C or higher. The outdoor pool was heated, but could use a good cleaning. All staff were very friendly and responded quickly to any requests. Breakfast was good, with plentiful amounts and variety of choices.

Spectacular place. Beautiful rooms that have a spectacular view and even the whirlpool in the bathroom has a view of the lake! Everything worked perfect. The price-quality ratio is very good. Breakfast is limited, but everything is of very good quality. Excellent attention. There are only a few details of lack of maintenance on the way down to the shore of the lake with a dock that is half fallen. One detail that happened to me is that the light switches are very difficult to press. They are in a box for three but since the three positions are the same and there is only one key, it generally takes a while until you can put it in the hole and turn it on.

All the staff here were wonderful. In particular, we would point out Bruno who had a great personality. We liked him so much I had to take a picture of him and one of his name tag so I could remember to applaud him in our review.
Our room was wonderful - very large room with a big balcony to enjoy the view which during our time (one night) here displayed beautiful thunder clouds along with the water and the mountains. We grabbed a bottle of wine and just enjoyed the beauty of our surroundings. Later, we ordered in a pizza (the place - Pistach -suggested by the front desk) and it was excellent!!
The property also has a large indoor “hot tub swimming pool” and an outdoor swimming pool. We took advantage of both.
Breakfast at the El Faro was nice and we snagged a good table to enjoy the view of the water, the mountains and the clouds. The buffet area included scrambled eggs, croissants, ham, bread, cheese, fruits, sweets, and juices like orange and peach.
After breakfast, I was in the room packing while my husband was checking us out. I turned to notice a beautiful rainbow and grabbed my camera to take photos. I then went straight to the front desk to tell my husband so he could see. (That is when I met Bruno who was checking us out.). So all three of us stood in awe of the rainbow.
I also took note of the art in the reception area and took photos. There was an owl, a fish and a bird which were made from reclaimed wood and recycled items. (Later that day, we stumbled upon the store in town that makes this art and got to meet the artist himself, Marcelo. How exciting is that??)

We were really excited for our stay. Unfortunately the room we booked based on photos was not the room we got. They put the photos of the best rooms online but no guarantee you will get them and there is a big difference - even though they are same price and ‘category’! This is known and admitted to it (so essentially bait advertising!). Staff brushed us off, were rude and we waited 2 hours trying to resolve, to be told we couldn’t have the room we thought we booked as someone had it the following night. It was late at night by this time so we took the one room on offer. Decided to have dinner in the restaurant - avoid! It was terrible! All in all the hotel is beautiful and stunning views but they are misleading guests and the service and food is not good.

We sat in a 5-star hotel. Not so much for the number of services and leisure options (the hotel is not very large), but rather for the elegance and quality of everything that is offered. It is a wonderful hotel: very well decorated with spacious and comfortable rooms, fantastic bathroom (the jacuzzi was great), delicious breakfast, staff service well above the average of the region etc.
And of course, we could not help but mention the cinematic view we had of Lake Nahuel Huapi (and mountains). It seemed like we were on a shipwreck (the view is even more beautiful than you can see in the pictures of the Reservation sites).
We stayed in four good hotels in the region and El Faro was by far the best!. We will definitely be back.

The view is wonderful, the location right on the lake. Food is adequate, with a continental breakfast. The hotel has many kinks to iron out. The original room i was given was in the basement and had no air conditioner. Then I was placed in a smaller room that was dark as the windows were covered ( see picture). i returned from my group early to find out the spa treatment was canceled last minute. To top it off, no recompense was offered.

Dear Mr Robert Glassman, Thank you so much for your comments about our privileged views and our regional breakfast. About your comment, the room that you are reffering is our Suit Playa, one of the biggest rooms in the hotel, with private terrace and direct access to the lake. As you could check, the room has air conditioner and it's working correctly. The room change was demanded by you. The only room available was the one you show and has blackouts over the windows, same all rooms in the hotel. We keep them closed to avoid the sun overheat the room. You only had to open them to enjoy the landscape. With regard to the facial massage, the massagist had to cancel at last minute due a personal problem. The relaxing massage was given as it was programmed. Our massagist are outsourced. Best regards, Horacio LLoret Manager
