The Secret Garden is a wonderful spot to enjoy Iguazu. John, the owner, is an incredible host, doing everything imaginable to make your stay a special one. I even managed to leave something in my room and he arranged for a driver to drop it off at the airport. I honestly couldn't imagine going to Iguazu and not staying at... More

We chose to stay at the Secret Garden as the reviews on tripadvisor seemed good and the other more corporate hotels didn't seem very inspiring. It was instantly obvious that we had made the right choice when our airport transfer driver pulled up at the secret garden and John, the owner, jumped into the car to give us a tour... More

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the Secret Garden Iguasu. John was a great host , giving us a tour of Puerto Iguasu and even asking us what drinks we liked for the evening cocktail hour so he would be sure to have them on hand. The rooms were clean and neat and the showers and air... More

The Secret Garden Iguazu is one of those little precious gem worth discovering. John, the host and innkeeper, was very helpful in finding us a driver to go see the falls, suggested us great places to eat as well as helped us find another place to stay as his B&B was already booked for 2 of the 3 days we... We just got back from a three night stay at the Secret Garden B & B and it was fantastic! Of course the area and Iguazu falls are incredible but John (the owner) was extremely helpful and went out of his way to ensure a great time for all his guests. He had great restaurant suggestions and ideas to enhance... More

We recently stayed at the Secret Garden for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The Iguazu Falls are spectacular, and the Secret Garden provided a comfortable oasis to retreat to at night. As numerous other reviews have described, John offers guests caipirinhas (and delicious bruschetta) every evening. This provided a great forum to relax, meet other guests, and exchange... More

Although we stayed only one night in John's property, we have had a lots of impressions! Two active amazing days around waterfalls, one beautiful evening on the terrace surrounded of green plants, cosy room, excellent breakfast, but - most of all - John and his guests, conversations between different nation guests; all together makes an excellent atmosphere, one can only... date: 26,27 of December, 2008 I do recommend "Secret Garden" to those who travel to Iguazú, except family with small children. We travelled in Argentina for two weeks and staying in "Secret Garden" was one of the nicest memory in our once-in-a-lifetime trip. First: It is not a traditional hotel. It has only three rooms which are specious and cosy.... More

A Secret friend is what the owner , John Fernandes, is, because he helped us so much. And, oh yes -- the place is great. It's intimate and beautiful and cozy and all the things you'd like in a far-away nature trip. John organized everything quickly for us -- had a car and driver at the airport to pick us... More

We had a wonderful time at the Secret Garden. John is an attentive and gracious host. The rooms were large and very attractive. The grounds are full of plants and birds. The Secret Garden is located near Iguazu Park. We took the city bus for a few dollars. The breakfasts were filling and Maria (the cook) always made me hot... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
An ideal place to jump-start your visit to the Iguazu Falls in Argentina. High on concept the Secret Garden is populated by tree ferns and other shade-loving plants salvaged from the slash and burn rural and logging activities decimating the surrounding rain-forest. Our location allows you to get a feel of living in a small South American frontier town and has easy access to urban amenities. ... more   less
