Positives: good location, just a few blocks from the main square, friendly staff. Negatives: the dorm rooms are tiny, there are no sockets in the rooms so everyone is recharging their phones/iPads in the breakfast/dining room, the hostel didn't have enough padlocks for the lockers so we were forced to buy ones, there are no common bathrooms with shower, wifi... We ended up staying here 5 nights - although that was more about Mendoza than the Hostel - so there wasn't anything really awful about it. Location is quite good, though it is a bit of a walk to the bus station, and breakfasts are OK (cereal and toast). There was a bit of noise on the Friday night, but... More

The rooms are tiny and basic would be an overstatement. Two beds reclaimed from National Service days and a bathroom that was functional. Do not expect wardrobes or plug sockets. we found the latter and tried to recharge our phones only to short the whole corridor out. There are we found out later sockets in the social/breakfast area downstairs. Fine... More

I have not stayed in many hostels and it would never be my accomodation of choice but we went to Mendoza the same weekend as the Chilean Independence Day celebrations so getting somewhere to stay was difficult. We stayed 4 nights, 2 nights in a 4 bed dorm and then 2 nights in a private twin room. The rooms are... More

The hostel was a good place to stay: extremely friendly guy at the reception told us everything about the city, where to go, where to eat etc. at the moment we arrived. We could leave our luggage in a locked room until our rooms were ready (we arrived early with a night bus). Our double room was basic but ok.... More

Nice clean, social hostel. They organise nights of activities and the travel assistance offered is great. We only stayed 2 nights but would go back again. The social aspect led to us meeting people and travelling for the next 2 weeks with them. All in all very backpacker friendly.

With an extremely friendly staff, you will feel at home right from the beginning. I met many people and even enjoyed meeting some of the very nice staff like Jezabel who gave me excellent tips for my future travel to Chile and excursions in Mendoza. The hostel manager Natalia is all the time there taking care of all details. This... More

Pros: The price was right, lots of tour options, nice breakfast Cons: The room was VERY small, the bathroom had a toilet in the shower, the staff were more into their facebook profiles and conversing rather than serving the clientele. If you can find a cheaper HI hostel in Mendoza, I would go there rather than here.

“The hostel offers many tours on certain days of the week. If the tour you want doesnt meet your schedule, there is a tour company around the corner (walk up to McDonalds, turn right and walk a hundred meters or so) and they offer basically the same tours but more frequently adn I actually found they were a little cheaper. We went on a half day wine tour (which is still a long day) and they were great. Great service and very informative.”
