This is the sixth time I've been to Howard Johnson Sierras Hotel, I've always been very cordially attended to. At lunch or dinner, your chefs do wonders. Breakfasts are excellent, the indoor pool is a delight. The comfort of the rooms are very good.

The spectacular outdoor pool, but they have a huge and underutilized garden, could put umbrellas, quinchos or provide more shade than is lacking. I went for a night with my partner, (it's not much, I know) however, we had a very good experience. From the attention of the hotel staff, like the restaurant. Our room was in very good condition, as well as the common use spaces. We were on the verge of NOT booking here, as we saw many bad comments regarding the state of the building, but I didn't see it that way. It is understood to be an old/old building, however it is very clean and in good condition (shower, bed, air conditioning in excellent condition). Someone complained that he has no landline in the room... THAT IS NO LONGER USED.. we were given the whatsapp number to communicate with reception for any order or inconvenience. There is no hair dryer in the room as before.. but you can order from reception and you can borrow one. I am glad to have finally booked there as I loved seeing such a period hotel, very beautiful, with a nice park, maintained and great pool.

Location and rooms are superb. The hotel although quite old is very well mantained and the Casino doesnt bother. It lacks of course "the good life" of previous times, and the decorator following american trends forgot to make a cosy living room. Room cleanliness although quite good should improve.

The place its one of the most historic hotels in the area, and its recicled and convert to brand new and fully functional, but the big issue is the lack of personal care, only the guy in the lobby its great, the rest, including the casino and dinning room staff, with a lack of service mind set. The food its totally over priced and the menu its really short, the half of the courses are not available. Breakfast its decent... its breakfast. At the casino the same situation like the restorant. The issue is that the bar its not fully provided with stuff they need, so the waitress runs into the dinning room, in side the other hotel area, to bring you food and drinks, most of the time.
