As a person to have been to European cities do far, this city offers wonderful experience of a different world. The people are lovely, full of life. The prices are very reasonable unless you want to do something luxurious. Before we went there we heard so many things that sound scary about the safety in the city. However if you... More

Pros: great location, furnished enough for two adults to stay comfortably, climate control was adequate, washer/dryer available, manager is helpful and has good contacts for transportation and money exchange Cons: street noise is very loud when the windows are open, laundry room access limited to one user at a time, easy to hear neighbors, minimal furnishing, unit showing signs of... Pros from the apartments are quietness and location as it stands in a calm street very close to Palermo Hollywood restaurants, supermarkets and grocery stores, close to subway station Scalabrini Ortiz, and within a pleasant walking distance to the zoo, botanical garden and main shopping areas of Palermo. The nice sensation of the sun shining on our room was also... More

I stayed at Base apartments with my huband and 2 teenagers for 5 weeks during March and a bit of April this year. This apartment was perfect for our needs. First of all, Sandra, the manager was extremely helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable about events and Argentine history, culture etc. The apt is right in the middle of Palermo within... More

We stayed 3 nights at BASE. The location is excellent, in Palermo neighborhood. The room has a modern decoration, comfortable bed, sofa, wardrobe, TV, kitchen (with cook, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, kitchen accessories). The bathroom is big and with shower and bathtub. The building has elevator. The only problem we had was the air conditioning: it wasn't working very well... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
