In popular SanTelmo area close to Defensia market, shops and restaurants Room was large with quality fittings, good size bathroom, wardrobe, wifi works in room. Staff spoke english and were very pleasant and helpful. They helped us with a flight booking problem by ringing the airline for us. Would certainly stay there again. Antique lifts are easy to use and... More

I arrived and was pleasantly surprised by the loft i had booked. It was nice and spacious with a great view from the balcony. The bed was comfortable and the minibar well stocked plus options to order great food from the restaurant below via room service was a fantastic bonus. Everything was perfect except when I made a small complaint... More

Very nice hotel, centrally located and with a great architectural design. The old building has been modernized recently but still keeps its charm. The elevator brings you back in the 1920s! Only small remark was the massive unprofessionalism of my taxi driver that I booked from the hotel in advance at 1am, who did not follow any traffic rules (avoiding... More

I arrived in Buenos Aires with a lost bag, resulting in a lack of hotel confirmation. At the airport i selected Moreno hotel with fairly little consideration. Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
