Our family of 3 stayed in this hotel for 3 nights, and we love it. I think this is the place which is very suited for family travel. First of all, the room is really spacious, since it is a suite. It has a living room with kitchen, and a bedroom. It's well renovated, looks new, modern and clean. The...

We stayed at Art Suites on Peña for 8 nights initially, then extended by another 10...we didn't want to leave! It is absolutely amazing and the BEST apart-hotel we have ever stayed in. We found it great value for money, compared to what we could get in Australia at the same rate. The location is absolutely prime! The rooms are...

Beware of this hotel/suites!!!!!!!..I made a reservation for 3 people( older women) over 2 months ahead and specifically requested a suite with 2 twins, per their website and sofa bed. Ten days prior to our trip one of our party almost died and is in hospital after emergency surgery, so I requested , 10 days prior, the changed rate for...

After looking at countless hotels, we ended up opting for this apartment-hotel. It was very easy for our cab driver to find from the airport (45 min drive from EZE). Situated on a quiet street just 3 blocks from a shopping mall and the famous Recoleta Cemetary. 10 mins to a park, museums....within walking distance of one of the many...

Just got back from 20 days at the Art Suites & Gallery. We couldn't have found a better place to stay. In fact, we saw some of the other properties we had looked at, and we were so glad we picked AS&G. It was the best of both worlds, hotel and apartment. Breakfast was delivered at the time we requested...

Spent five nights here and was impressed with both the suite and the helpful staff. Location is great for exploring Buenos Aires, and is within walking distance of a lot of museums and attractions. Recommended, would stay again.

My husband and I were living in Oregon and he had the idea of going on holiday to Buenos Aires. We read reviews and ended up choosing the Art Suites Hotel on Azcuenaga .. boy did we make a good decision ! The people at the desk, the maids, the owners, every single person was super nice and helpful and...

This is a very good option to stay in Buenos Aires. Only 2 rooms per floor. It is more like an apartment, equiped with kitchen, living room, large bathroom, plenty of space. Walking distance to Recoleta cemetery. Goods: - Cleanliness - Location - Staff - Room size - Home appliances (kitchen, oven, fridge, microwave) Bads: Breakfast options. You need to...

After being in several small hotel rooms in South America, it was a luxury to have our own little apartment. We stayed for 5 nights. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet (it was a back room). We were able to cook our own breakfast in the little kitchen, and the staff was always very helpful when we...

Our stay in Buenos Aires was made more enjoyable because of this wonderful apart-hotel in Recoleta. In a beautiful part of town, where you can walk to many renowed landmarks and restaurants, it was delightful to find a quiet, small boutique hotel, where they remember your name every time you come back. Comfortable beds and pillows, very clean, and a...

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
