Beautiful, clean hotel. Rooms are beautiful, newly renevated, with great air conditioning. Great experience, true bang for you buck. Highly recommend this hotel. Don't be afraid of it's gorgeous appearance, it is affordable!! We had a horrible experience right across the street at the Gran Orley Hotel. For 4 American dollars more we stepped into sheer pleasure!!!!

DO NOT GO HERE. THIS HOTEL UNDER CONSTRUCTION. MISLEADING AND FALSE ADVERTISEMENT. My family and I (husband, baby, dad and mom) spent a couple of days visiting Buenos Aires. We chose this hotel because of the location and the reviews on here. I would say location is the only good thing they have but there is NO PARKING in the...

Not the newest, quietest or cleanest hotel... But the price is very good, friendly and helpful staff, nice breakfast and great location near the train station and city center. Great value for money (at least the price we paid on March 2016 which was very low)

Hotel Principado is what I call a 3-star hotel. Certainly not luxurious but clean and comfortable. Perhaps its biggest advantage is its location. It is located in the Retiro on Calle Paraguay, right next door to El Establo Restaurant---the best in town, in my opinion---just 2 blacks from Florida pedestrian and shopping thoroughfare, and 3 blocks from the ritzy Galerias...

This is a good hotel to stay in BA if you don't have high expectations. It's clean and VERY well located. Rooms are small but OK, WiFi works perfectly in the room. Breakfast is OK, not a lot of options but overall good. I think it's a very good option for its location and price.

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
