Room was very nice for what we paid. Bathroom was immaculate. Loved their wine themed floors. There are bottles of wine in the room, at an extra cost. Staff are very accommodating. Highly recommended.

Great location. Safe, clean and wonderful service. Went above and beyond to help us very cozy. Were able to walk to most locations we wanted to see and felt very comfortable in the area. Be aware that most places don't speak English, so being able to speak Spanish will come in handy around town

We spent eight nights at Las Cepas hotel. Location of hotel is perfect for Buenos Aires sightseeing even that at first site neighbourhood looks rough. Walking distance to everywhere. Lots of restaurants close to hotel. Hotel is small, only 20+ rooms, with modern bathroom and furniture. Good assortment of wines in room with decent prices. Breakfast is good enough. Hotel...

The Hotel is run by a very friendly family and is based on a wine theme. Each room has a stocked wine cooler but no fridge. The choice of wines is excellent at great prices. The breakfast is an Argentine type of continental breakfast and is adequate for most people. There are several restaurants in the area, one the Plaza...

My wife and I stayed for two weeks in this delightful, boutique hotel in the Montserrat area of Buenos Aires, within easy walking distance of the Plaza de Mayo (the centre of the city). The hotel has only been open for guests for about a year. It consists of 22 guest rooms which are each named for a varietal grape...

My husband and I stayed here for two nights. We had been staying at my grandma's house out in the burbs, so we wanted some city life. First of all, if you like wine, you will love this place. There is a wine list of hundreds of bottles. ALL of them are for domestic consumption. You can't get there anywhere...

Overall this is a good hotel. I liked the support to our request for advise from the reception. They were always very kind. The breakfast was very good, but it would be even better if they include some fruits. The wifi wasn't working the first two nights but the next two nights it was good.

First the good points: excellent water pressure and constant water temps, friendly staff. Breakfast was a very full Argentine breakfast. As you might expect from a hotel that has only recently opened (in Jan), there are a few areas for improvement. Most vexing was no wifi in the rooms, only in the lobby and dining area. Our room was clean,...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
