Good hotel with central location. Shopping in Florida Street. Parking for 240 pesos a day. Spacious rooms and very helpful staff. Rooms are air-conditioned. Unfortunately no pool and gym. I can recommend it

If there is something that attracts me to a hotel, or any other place, is feeling taken care off... well, that is precisely my Hotel Dora experience from the minute we arrived there after a very long red eye flight... I wont refer to bell boys or concierges, but to friends who made us have a great time ! On...

Only book a superior room! We stayed 3 days in a superior room, then 1 night in Iguazu, then 3 nights in a standard room which is only marginally cheaper. What a difference! The first room was great, no complaints. On our return, we were given a standard room. It was awful. It started in the corridor where the wallpaper...

I can't give 0/5 otherwise I would due to my disappointment. It's unbelievable but this is a 4-star hotel. For the price that I paid for this I could've found much better places indeed. I've researched this hotel beforehand and I was expecting a good room as per other pictures. They may have better rooms but the one that I...

I stayed 7 nights at the hotel a few years ago. I felt safe and welcome. The hotel's location is in the city center. The staff was excellent, friendly and well informed-old school. My friends were at the same time in more expensive hotels, but Dora for all of us was a base during our stay in BA for well-informed and...

I stayed here 3 nights. Location if you want to be in this area cannot be beat. I certainly felt safe and secure. I was here by taxi so I cannot speak about parking, I know there is no parking for the hotel itself. Wifi did work, was slow, but it did work. Room was clean. Breakfast is like most...

Found myself in the centre of buzzing Buenos Aires in this nice hotel. Location is the main highlight, with great transportation links, walking distance to Retiro and Recoleta. The cemetery there is a must see!! The staff was fantastic, very reasonable breakfast and good value for money. The hotel is clean, comfortable and quiet. In my opinion all you need...

Please don't let the renovated lobby fool your eyes. Although they presumably have some nice rooms in the upper floors, the 2nd floor where my room is located is simply put...Sad! I got a great deal online, but the bottom line is, the house always wins - you get the lowest level room. Old carpets, paint peeling off the walls,...

The hotel is well-located and room is quiet. Bathroom doesn't fit with the 4-star hotel is supposed to be. But the biggest problem is with the air-conditioner. The hotel has a centralized system and you can't stop or regulate the air in your own room. Just unbearable! You're freezing in your room!!! I wonder how they got their 4th star......

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
