I arrived before midnight to find the Hotel locked with no view of staff inside. There was a buzzer which I repeatedly pressed but with no response. The street outside is at night desolate except for a few drunks and others asking for money. it was a horrible experience to be alone outside for 10 minutes with my bags and...

The Nogaro hotel is well located downtown within walking distance of several tourist attractions such as "Casa Rosada", Calle Florida", etc. The area seems to be safe and well served with taxis. I have booked a double room through "Booking.com" and when I got there they gave me a room completely different than the one I saw in the internet....

The Nogaro is a older hotel within walking distance of many of the downtown attractions. The area feels safe and the hotel is clean and also feels safe. The breakfast is average and similar to breakfast in South American countries. The internet is also about the same speed as most in Argentina - not fast, but adequate for most users.

I have staying at this hotel for over 10 years. On the plus side it has friendly, great service and the rooms are comfortable, clean and safe. The only negative I have about this hotel is that breakfast is a little lacking. That said that isn't expensive. So you kind'a get what you are paying for! Location is great to...

Booked an executive room and were originally given room 516. This was old, tired and the towels had other peoples hair on them. The sink had a crack in it and the TV was an old style portable type. My wife took one look and said "I am not staying here". We were then offered a "junior suite" at no...

I stayed at this hotel for two nights In November 2015. The lobby is simple but very clean and well maintained. The elevators are fast and I never waited for more than a few minutes. The rooms are simple and old but clean. The mattresses seem new and the bed was comfortable. I was traveling alone and had a room...

Very well located in downtown Buenos Aires just a walk from all worthwhile points to visit. It's an old classic hotel a bit cramped. It's convenient. Breakfast is basic. Rooms could be cramped but nice.

This hotel deserves much better rating that it has been given in some websites. We had two rooms. The customer service was excellent. We had problems with our return flight reservations, and they called the airline free of charge for us which resolved the issue. There was nothing they would not do for us. It was great. The beds were...

Very nice staff & great location, if you want to be in El Centro (and close to 2 different subte stops). My room was clean and quiet. Nice shower. The television didn't work, nor did the refrigerator. I complained but they seemed a little overwhelmed. The wifi mostly worked. There isn't really a café in the hotel ('we only have...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
