it was a very nice experience, modern rooms with flat tv. big balcony and clean nice bathroom. Great value for price. The staff was super friendly and giving great suggestions to dine around the city. No idea what the bad reviews are from!

not sure, what is supposed to be trendy - definetly not the location nor the interior. We booked 2 nights there, but after the first terrible night we left immediately. rooms are just dirty and ugly. also the air conditioning is not working properly- thus very very loud at nightp- we woke up 3 times! not for a penny I...

We stayed in Design Suites Hotel at the beginning and end of our holiday and we could not have asked for anything better in terms of room quality and the staff service. I should add that due to flight issues the airline put us up in 2 other hotels in Buenos Aires during our 4 week trip and it made...

We stayed at the hotel on 4 separate occasions for a total of 10 nights. We had 3 different suites over this time - 802, 801, 502 The 01 facing street frontage was a little noisy from outside - what do you expect however in a large city. The 02's were very quiet - internal courtyard view - all were...

We had very low expectations given the reviews from trip advisor...but we were pleasantly surprised. The weird set up of the hotel means that there are different rooms - some of which are much better than others. We stayed there twice within a period of a week. The first time we stayed in a new part of the hotel (hence...

Love Buenos Aires, but Design hotel is neither the hotel or location if your under 50. After reading several trip adviser comments, we opted to have our own experience (regretfully) Firstly the hotel: The staff struggle to communicate with you in English, they are not interested in making your stay a happy experience. The rooms although somewhat trendy are small...

I was trying to start this review with a positive spirit. But I simply can't. the only good thing about the Designer Suites Buenos Aires are the fotos from the website. Strategically taken, the fotos criate a make-up that does not let you see the awful weekend you are going to have by stayng there. We arrived at night, and...

I loved the pictures of the hotel at the website but after reading some reviews of this site I doubted to stay here. Fortunally I decided to have my own experience and now I can tell you the great stay I enjoy here... Let me tell you that the staff at the reception desk , housekeeping and restaurant was very...

The website looked amazing & we had stayed in the El Calafate Design Suites (which was gorgeous) so we booked the Buenos Aires Design Suites. If I was to choose one word to describe the hotel it would be `disappointing`. The room was like a student bedsit and was showing its age. The reception was narrow and the art was...

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
