Stayed here with Wife and 16yo daughter. This was a great hotel and extremely good value. We had a twin room apartment with Modern bathroom really quite comfortable. The hotel is located close to the main attractions of Buenos Aires. There is a good restaurant immediately opposite the hotel if you want to try the local steaks. There is also...

We stopped here on route to the Wallaby Test in Rosario. Exceptionally clean and tidy, with colse proximatey to the main shopping district. Staff were very friendly and extremeley helpful, only there for a few nights but very economical and great value for money.

This was a great hotel. Clean and comfortable. We had to be in two separate rooms on our arrival, but they then moved us to a suite with two bedrooms (family of 3). Breakfast is very good but not much variety if you stay a while. Very good location for walking to restaurants, shops, sights etc. The Reception staff were...

On or arrival we were given a room that needed renovation. The following night the receptionist changed our room to a renovated room. If you use the hotel ensure you have a renovated room. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast was very good. We stayed 3 nights

We stayed at the El Conquistador Hotel for four nights in February. The hotel has excellent room rates for Buenos Aires (about 40% less than we have paid anywhere else) and is in an excellent location for the shopping district. The hotel itself is old and a bit worn. This type of thing doesn't bother us as long as the...

The best feature of this hotel is its great location: close to Plaza San Martin and Florida Street. Near the hotel you can find small restaurants and shops that make the stay more comfortable (even the Chinese supermarket just across the street help with any last minute shopping). They offer city tours and other tourist attractions, but without being too...

Very good hotel within one block of the main drag. Rooms were quite nice and very clean. Had a view out our window which could be opened, to let in the fresh air. Very friendly staff and a good set up for our touring group. Bar coped, but would have been better if they had a till, instead of having...

The rooms were clean and provided all the basics, free Wifi, TV. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly and English speaking. The hotel is in a great location for the train station, bus station and the shuttle bus station to EZE airport. All in all a pleasant experience.

We traveled with two kids, ages 14 and 11, and room had great set up with one king bed and two twins. Breakfast buffet (included) was decent with a variety of cold and hot items. Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
