Great location with nice rooms. Fantastic honest people, from the bellman, to the front desk, to the security people, and maids. These folks always make my stay enjoyable because of their friendliness.

This hotel was beautiful and centrally located, but not what you would expect from a five star hotel. The price for Internet was astronomical, and the so called "Wi-Fi" did not work in our room. We couldn't even use the wired Internet because the plug-in was right next to the door and did not work! The service at the restaurant...

This is a five star wanna be. Oh, the hotel is lovely and the rooms are spacious but that doesn't make it a five star. Service does and amenities do. $20/day for internet? In this day and age even in Argentina? A small coffee pot in room...free coffee? No. The mini bar had the coffee packs...for $6(US)! The breakfast was...

Nice location, quite close to both Center City and Recoleta (gastronomic) neighborhood. Rooms are very spacious and confortable. (We stayed at superior/deluxe room.) But the highlight in this business oriented option is its Gym / Spa facilities. The Gym is very well equipped, and the Spa includes a full size indoor heated swimming pool (in addition to saunas in both...

A good place to stay for a few nights, but possibly not for a longer stay. Well situated - convenient and within walking distance of several areas of Buenos Aires. Although it is next to a main road, it is very quiet with no road noise. Nice looking hotel - we liked the wall ed garden - very pleasant to...

This was the most upscale hotel we stayed in during our Trip to Argentina. The hotel has a luxurious feel to it both the lobby, restaurant, private garden, and room. The breakfast was very nice in the mornings, and we also enjoyed our dinner here as well. We had excellent service until our very last day when the bellman forgot...

This a solid four star, business rather than tourist, hotel that is well located in terms of access to the sights of BA, which in the main are only a AR$20-40 (£3-6) taxi ride away. It is located on a busy eight-lane highway but the hotel is well insulated from the noise. The Buquebus port (to Montevideo) is a 15...

Stayed here for two nights on business. Rooms are a good size, clean and the bathroom especially good. I'd heard getting early check in was not easier and I was surprised that my room wouldn't be ready till 3pm which is annoying for arrivals from Europe. Doesn't seem to be much flex on that. Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
