The hotels location can not be beaten. It's bang right in the middle of town. Walking distance from virtually everything. Buenos Aires is not like most cities, distances here are quite far so most people take cabs but the traffic is awful, if you can, walk to most places. The streets are not unsafe unlike some other cities in Argentina....

A hotel that is placed in a really good location (in the core of Buenos Aires city) but the rooms are not so good, they look quite old and not very well cleaned. pep the breakfast was nice and hotel people was very polite.

If you plan to go to Buenos Aires, then Exe Hotel Colon is the place to stay. Well located, near the Obelisco , the suites are large and comfy, air-conditioning and heating available. Breakfast is included and it is very good, quite a feast by the morning. The staff is extremely nice and they´ll give tips about where to go....

Tired hotel that needs a total refurbishment. Its a 1 star or a 2 star if you're charitable - not the advertised 4 star. Dirty and stained carpets, battered walls, damaged furniture, not sure where the nice photos of the rooms shown on the website are - certainly not the ones we saw. Some desk staff are friendly and helpful...

Hotel Exe Colon has a very good position in the centre of Buenos Airos, only 200 metres from the national historic monument the Obelisc of Buenos Airos. The hotel has four stars, but the general standard of the hotel is not to more than two or three. Our room was small without air condition, even we had booked a room...

We came to Buenos Aires for vacation and to visit relatives. We didn't want to rent a car, and this hotel is in the center of the city, near the Obelisco. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby as well as access to taxis, buses and subways. The hotel is an older one, but is clean and not noisy. Bed...

This hotel is located in downtown BA or Microcentro, across the street from the Obelisco monumentum, the hotel is old and they dont have AC, We've stayed for 4 days and we really need AC, the choice was sleep with window open, the street is noisy 9 de julio. Rooms need update, small bathroom, free breakfast ok.

Hard to more succinctly say it than terrible. Reserved it based upon photos and other reviews five months ago. Got to hotel and room would not be ready until 3 or 4 pm. Ok- that is not a surprise. When we returned at 5 we found the hotel room was half the size in the photo, with two twin beds...

Clean rooms (even thought the building is old), quiet hotel, good breakfast (last time it wasn't that good as previous but still really good) and unbeatable location. It's definitely not a 4 stars hotel as they sell it but in Argentina is like that: 4 stars means 3

I booked at the Colón because I stayed there about six years ago and was satisfied. However, on this instance I left being absolutely certain that it would take a lot to convince me to go back there, especially having walked next door to see the beautiful and well-kept Hotel Panamericano in pristine condition. Basically, the hotel has been left...
