Neighbourhood
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.

I was extremely lucky to travel with colleagues to Buenos Aires and we stayed at the four seasons, I’ve been to a number of their chain and I find it hard to find fault with anything! Hotel layout was great, food was amazing and not expensive, and the rooms were amazing well appointed and comfortable - I spent some time in the spa, heated pol and gym and it was great. All the staff were amazingly helpful but special mention to Mariana Villar and her team who were outstanding (thank you) Highly recommend a stay if your here.

An efficient and competent check-in. A very helpful concierge. A beautiful suite although in the drawing room one of the chairs still had a dust cover on it. A good central site in the Recoleta which meant it was a good springboard from which to view the main attractions of the city.

Buenos Aires is a hidden gem. Perfect to visit during US winters when it’s summer in Buenos Aires. There are many beautiful places to see. Rose gardens, Malba museum, Japanese Gardens, Teatro Colon,Recoleta cemetery. Great neighborhoods like Palermo , Recoleta, Puerto madero , La Boca. Beautiful architecture. There is no better hotel than the four seasons. Impeccable service, great food, beautiful accommodations . I stayed in the main building which had rooms beautifully decorated. They also have rooms in the mansion next door but I like being more centrally located. When I checked in Alejo Juni took care of us like We were family. He told us all we needed to know and more. He made our stay at the four seasons from the moment we arrived! Concierge were very helpful. They set us up with the best tour guide I ever had Robert Blanc. I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel , Argentina and the people!

Hi. I was there in December, after the riots over the change in pension arrangements. I was travelling with a girl friend. We felt safe at the hotel and in the surrounding area - you just need to be sensible about the areas/streets you walk down, particularly at night, but as you say, it’s the same anywhere.

Most restaurants in Buenos Aires will be closed for lunch; however, due to the 25th falling on a Sunday we will see some open for Argentina style brunch such as Casa Felix. Hotels will have there restaurants open for Lunch. For dinner on the 25th most restaurants will be open. Let us know if you need any further help.

Hello ! The hotel is awasome, but there are no activities for kids. The hotel is conviniently located close to malls and restaurants, walking distance from Recoleta Cemitery, and close to the kids museum.
