Just as pretty as the pictures - very charming, quirky, spotless, warm, quiet and comfy. Loved the cotton sheets and the library, and the staff, especially Juan Pablo, couldn't have been nicer. If I had a a complaint, it would be the overpowering artificial room fragrance - yes, this is minor! I also found the neighbourhood disappointing (dull, dingy), but...

Too soft mattress but warm beddings. I was in an average size double room with all the basics (safe, minibar, chair, tv, hairdryer, etc). Shower was quite small though. Good buffet breakfast with scrambled eggs upon request (too bad they're microwaved!!). Doors/walls are thin so you can hear your neighbors and people in the patio talking. What won me over...

I stayed here 4 nights last April. The room was very small and the shower door fell off. Front desk staff were not always helpful/or listened, just kept smiling and hoped you go away. I had food poisoning in the hotel restaurant and was sick for 3 days.

Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to give us your review! We have three room categories to choose from. The Economy is the smallest one but you could ask for a room change if you felt unconfortable staying in it. About food poisoning, nobody told us about it during your stay. Thank you once again for your review....

Stayed a week in this lovely place. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. The hotel is charming with a large two level courtyard come atrium, the rooms on the second floor open onto a walk way with balcony rails so you can peek over to the patio below. Potted plants and lovely old tiles enhance, the games room on the...

We enjoyed a week of great hospitality at Los Patios in what is seemingly, the quiet season for Buenos Aires. I guess if pressed there are a couple of rough edges to the hotel, a bit of noise of which, on occasion, we were equal contributors, however, the positives, such as a great location, friendly obliging staff and price, far...

We stayed for 2 nights and really loved the location of the hotel. It was easy for us to get around on foot, and even easier to hail a cab from right outside the hotel. My husband and I came to Buenos Aires with limited research of what to do and see. One of the hotel staff members, Juan, was...

We visited in Argentinian winter (16 deg and patchy sun...) and as such the hotel have the heating on - the temperature in the room must have been in the high 20's which is far too warm for sleeping. We informed the hotel and they turned the heating off - only for it to come back on the next day....

We came here for a vacation during Buenos Aires winter. That means that outside its between 14-17 degrees centigrade. Not particularly cold for an average European. Now it seems this is damn freezing for an Argentinian. The hotel keep the rooms at about 30 degrees centigrade meaning it is impossible to sleep. The result is sleeping with the windows and...

The room I shared with my friend was booked by a Peregrine tour operator. It was an extremely small room for 2 people – you could not swing a cat in it, indeed so small that it was impossible to pass each other in the little space between the beds and the small narrow bench table. One of us had...

The Hotel seems to be a restored perhaps historic building. Very unassuming from the outside, then opens into a courtyard onto which the rooms open. The doors are extremely high, adding to the eye appeal. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs prepared if one requests them (we missed the little sign on the buffet breakfast table the first morning!). Good choice if...

Staying in San Telmo

Neighbourhood Profile
San Telmo
Characterized by cobblestones and narrow streets, San Telmo is defined by the tango, the dance that made Buenos Aires world-famous. Tango is a fusion of many different cultures: a true child of immigration, much like the city itself. Nowadays, it comes alive after dark in the milongas (dance parties) attended by both locals and visitors alike, who dance until the wee hours of the morning. During the day, the antique shops and classic cafés and bars around Plaza Dorrego dominate the scene. The emblematic Bar Plaza Dorrego, with its green awnings, checkered tile floors, and wooden interiors, takes you back in time the moment you step inside. For true porteño traditions, San Telmo is the place to be.
