Staff was fine and helpful when asked. Enjoyed the room, it was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was super. Skipped the breakfast but we couldn't find anything outside the hotel except continental breakfast. The rooftop pool was small but refreshingly cold and the view was fantastic! Lots of people sunbathing around it on the weekend. I liked the location - very...

Location of the hotel is very convenient, within walking distance to many attractions and subway station. Room was specious, clean and sufficiently equipped. Staff were nice and polite but they gave an impression that they do only the bare minimum required. We booked and paid for three nights however because of flight delay we only stayed one (the last) night....

The hotel was nice and clean, rooms were realy specious with medium sound isolation. The wifi was good and in all places. Breakfast was good. It was situated in a good location near the metro station and in walking distance from the center. Like in most places in Argentina not many people speak english.

I booked this place for one night as a treat for the end of my one month travel in South America. I'm a teacher so I'll do "plus, minus, interesting" :) Plus - good wifi in rooms - rooms well kept and good size - quiet - mini mart nearby and some restaurants / cafes (but definitely not in the...

I had a nice stay at this hotel - the hotel is very spacious and the staff very friendly. Nothing to complain about at all. I found the location good - didn't feel unsafe at all and most things of interest in walking distance. Personally I would have liked some more tourist information or be given a map of the...

The hotel is nice and the rooms are spacious. Some of them have very good views of the city. They have all the basic amenities. Good breakfast with a lot of choices, particularly the cold items. However it is located in an area that seems complicated at night if you would like to walk. Also, I could not find any...

Stayed three Nights. Checked out today. Good spacious room . Good breakfast with variety items. But bad management and less friendly staff. The second day in the morning the power went off. Had to use stairs from 7th floor. No emergency lamp in the stairway. When spoke to the reception, the staff ignoring my complaint told there was no fuel...

We stayed at the Scala Hotel in San Telmo area of Rio recently after our cruise ended in Buenos Aires. It's a four star and deservedly so. The room was first rate, the staff were very helpful, even arranging a dinner and Tango show for us in short notice. There were a number of good restaurants nearby, we had dinner...

This is a very very basic hotel, not fancy, not 5 o 4 stars, the rooms are clean that fills the needs of the traveler, clean and basic beds with small pillows, the bathrooms or little bit larger than traditional bathrooms with just ok towels, cheap soap and shampoo? They include a one use toothbrush, don't know why but they...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
