This is a great hotel to stay if you want privacy, good location, great price for what you get and an excellent staff. Special thanks to Adrian, for receiving us late at night and treating us really well, making us really feel comfortable, like home

This is a safe neighborhood I was comfortable walking around at night in. Lots of nice places to eat open late nearby, too, which is super important if you're out late at business meetings and come back to a hotel without a restaurant. Ilum does a lovely breakfast spread, but it has no bar or food options after that. The... More

The staff at this hotel make it a wonderful place to stay. In particular, Adrian, Rocio, Aldana and Martin at the front desk were fantastic. I felt like we became friends with all of them during our stay! We arrived way before check-in after a red eye flight. We asked if we could just use a public restroom to change... More

This was my third time in Buenos Aires. In the past I have always stayed in the centre of the city, So it was with a little hesitation that I booked this hotel as it was in an area I did not know. What a find! The hotel is in an area called Palermo. A lovely neighbourhood which has character... More

Palermo neighborhood of Buenos Aires was highly recommended to us from friends who have visited the city before. Upon some search through Hotels.com. I found Ilum Experience Home, which has excellent reviews from prior stayed customers. Arrived at the hotel around noon time, check-in was hustle free and the friendly staff printed out recommended activities, excursions, restaurant lists including many... More

Really excellent service and helpfulness and friendliness from counter staff - in my case, Florencia and Aldana went out of their way to help me find a good little restaurant nearby and Florencia actually went with me to a local store to organise a subway card payment so I could get around - 100% service! The rooms are very clean... More

We really enjoyed this hotel. It is very new, so the rooms are updated. Wi-fi was fast and free. Breakfast was included with good options + made-to-order egg dishes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great, a lot of restaurants and cafes are nearby. Plaza Serrano is about 15 minute walk. Subte (subway) is about 20 minutes walk, but... More

The perfect Boutique Hotel in Palermo, that's about it. We spent the last night of our Argentinian trip at this beautiful hotel and it could not have been any more perfect. Stylish hotel, room and bathroom. Perfect service and perfect breakfast. Keep up the good job!

Clean, comfortable and convenient location in the Palmero district near many good restaurants and bars. The hospitality and helpfulness of the staff is second to none as evidenced by the cool and calm manner they handled our unexpected arrival. Without the blink of an eye we received first-class service to accommodate our first night in BA. Everyone went out of... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
