I found this hotel via internet, what a beautiful place. Very nice hotel on the more popular side of the city. Great location for shops and exploring the city. Breakfast was good but busy but that's to be expected in a popular and central hotel in Buenos Aires. Took the bus tour of the city for 2-3 hours, and took...

Its a classic old building of the old Buenos Aires, it doesn't have elevator so if you a carrying a lot of baggage I would not recommend it, the rooms are pretty old, but the breakfast buffet is wondeful

This is a get what you pay for hotel, pleasant but basic. Great air con and breakfast. Basic English speaking staff. Right next to the metro. A few restaurants on this street. Quite a lot of homelessness in this city. Good wifi. Soap, safe and towels provided

We stayed 3 nights there. Ok its not the best hotel of buenos aires. But for less than 30 euros, we had a clean room , with towel changed every day, room cleaned every day, and very acceptable breakfast. Only bad point, the noise because we were on the main avenue. But honnestly for this price , its abused to...

room I was given was not made up and dirty. Had to go down and complain to get an acceptable room. Skip breakfast! It was toast and jam and bad coffee. Unfriendly service. If you like the location try across the street.

Hotel in a good location. Had some scaffolding up so some work going on but didn't affect us. We had a very good price but ended up in what seemed to be an attic room at the top of the hotel, no views but a large room with a large bathroom. It looked like it had a new 32" led...

To start with the only positive point : very well located in B.A : It is why I booked there but 42° outside and no air conditioning in my room, the room was so "poor" that I slept with lights on and during the night a bead of my bag was eaten (no comment) bathroom so small that you can't...

This hotel is in a very god location. But try to ask a room not facing the road cause it can be noisy though the window did block off a lot of noise. I like the wood floor felt cleaner and bath room is good with strong hot water though small! Wifi does not work in the room but the...

This is an antique hotel, got a double room with a very comfy double bed, one night stand, telephone didn't work, tv with cable, so if you don't go out there is a lot to see on the tv, it has a fan, in the next little room there is a single bed, the closet, table with one chair and...

Great location on Avenida de Mayo, this hotel has a lot of character. Its old and run down, but in a good way. The room was comfortable with a queen bed and balcony and plenty of hot water. The breakfast isnt really breakfast, its toast and OJ, so be prepared. The staff is very helpful and friendly. My favorite part...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
