We were there for a week in February and enjoyed our stay. The place is big and has a great rooftop terrace that overlooks the city. Perfect for sunsets! The staff is friendly, though play loud music at times till 3am we noticed. Even when no guests are in the lobby. The cocktails they served are sub par, but you...

This hostel was recommended on HostelWorld and Lonely Planet but was the worst hostel experience I have had in my travels through 35+ countries. First of all, we arrived at midnight exhausted with an early flight the next morning and the receptionist told us to wait because they were doing "change of shift," although they had not started yet! She...

Facilities are what you expect from a hostel. Rooms are a bit basic in terms of decor and could do with some TLC. It was very quiet when we stayed and sense it is a chilled hostel in general so would suit people who are looking for that sort of atmosphere. Breakfast is included and was pretty good. Some drawbacks...

After staying in Eco pampa 10-15 times during a 6 month period this year I can say that it's my favourite hostel in the world. It's clean, spacious, trendy and full of life! What really makes Eco pampa great is their extremely helpful and fun staff. They will take care of you or point you in the right direction, whatever...

Light sleepers be warned, they have loud music in the reception/bar they keep on most of the night... it's a pity as except that it's a great hostel with simple but good private rooms, it's clean & super central. If you are a heavy sleeper, go for it! If not stay away...

My girlfriend and I are in our early 30's and stayed at this hostel in a private room and it was by far our favourite hostel out of 2 others that we stayed in when we were in BA. The location is amazing. Palermo is definitely the neighbourhood to stay in if you want to get away from the touristy...

Staff was good / easy to deal with in English. Breakfast was good, a spread off cereal, breads, and some fruit. Location was good - about a 6-8min walk to the nearest Metro stop (Plaza Italia). Neighborhood felt safe. Wifi worked well in room/lobby. Rooms were old with cheaply made bunk beds, no locks with the lockers, and no plug-ins...

Very nice place to stay in Buenos Aires in one of the best neighborhood. The dorms are very basic but clean and comfortable. Nice social area with good traveler vibes. You also can enjoy a sun bath on the rooftop.

The first thing I noticed upon entering Eco Pampa was the big social area / living room, furnished with comfy sofas. Has a really nice vibe to it and invites people to hang out, read, play music, talk etc. Really enjoyed spending time here. Location is great - in walking distance to fantastic cafes, shops, and the metro to go...

Hi Lea, thank you very much for choosing Eco Pampa Hostel and giving us your feedback! We are glad to know you liked the Hostel and its vibes! Thank you for sharing your concerns regarding the courtyard area. The bathrooms are cleaned various times a day, but cleanliness can be hardly challenged when even only one guest isn’t paying attention…...

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Palermo
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.

“Rooms 3 and 4 are the only group rooms with Air Conditioning. After a shower in room 4 leave the bathroom door to the hallway open so that the room doesn't get humid and mildewy later. Get up early if you want fruit. There will be one bowl of chopped fruit, no matter how many people are staying in the hostel.”
