The hostel is big and full of people, (the large groups of Israelians guys, very present there, can sadly be a painful) but in other way, the hostel is VERY WELL placed, with clean, the staff is great with guidance for visiting and/or helping you. definetely a good value hostel in BA

Be very aware that if you are lucky enough to be in Buenos Aires, Estoril Terrazas is NOT the place to stay. In a city that goes out late, and parties even later, for a backpacker's hostel to require no music or loud taking after 22.00 because the neighbours are sleeping, and will phone to complain, Estoril Terrazas is NOT...

The view is nice, location central, rooms decent. The 2commun areas are chilly, also the tv room. So if you are not there during summer, you really have to like the terrase. You dont have another choice as breakfast, which is very basic btw, is served only there as well. There is no kitchen either. Regarding bathroom there was only...

I stayed here 5 nights while in BA and had a terrific experience! The staff was very kind and helpful, the facility clean, breakfast was included, and it was located in a great area to explore! Wifi was lightning fast!!! I stayed in a 4 bed dorm and it was basically a private room all week! I could not be...

I really loved staying at this place. During my trip in South America I have experienced a lot of different hotels, but this was definitely one of the better! The family that runs the place is friendly, the rooms are clean and that the hotel is located so central is an absolute plus. Definitely a place to visit again!

We stayed in terrazas estoril (located on the 6th floor) for 4 nights, when we arrived we found the receptionist rude, he didn't show us around the hostel and just gave us a map of the city with no details as to where we were on it or where the best places to go in the city were. It was...

The center of BA is perhaps not the neighborhood where you would like to stay for your entire time in the city, but it definitely has its own great buzz. Av de Mayo is really worth to wake and go to bed to for a day or two, especially from Estoril's cosy roof-top terrace! Otherwise, Estoril is an an all-round...

In this hostel I stayed four nights and for sure it has one of the most spectacular views one could get in Buenos Aires. This house is a real treasure with an old elevator out of iron grating, ancient doors, stairs and windows and a beautiful terrace on top of the building with an outstanding view to Palacio Barolo and...

This was the first of eight hostels I stayed in in Buenos Aires, and has remained the favourite. It was a really good place for a solo traveller to meet people, as it was quite small and seemed to attract quite a few other solo travellers. Nice little common room, and awesome rooftop terrace. Decent breakfasts, great staff, nice rooms...

Stayed here in late December with a few friends. We had booked a basic four bed dorm on hostelworld several months ahead at ARS150 a bed per night. The hostel was located on Avenida de Mayo and is in a 100 year old building. Terraza Estoril is located on level 6. Estoril also had a youth hostel on level 3...

Staying in Montserrat

Neighbourhood Profile
Montserrat
As part of the historic quarter of Buenos Aires, Montserrat is defined by the historical events that took place there and the landmarks that have stood the test of time. The Plaza de Mayo is at the center of this connection to history: countless public demonstrations have passed through this square, going back to the May Revolution of 1810. Walking the streets of Montserrat allows us to imagine what Buenos Aires may have looked like in the past: the Cabildo takes us back to the late 16th century, while the Palacio Barolo and the traditional cafés carry us to the early 20th. Nowadays, the neighbourhood is inundated every day by office workers, buses, and taxis; still, the cobblestones, narrow sidewalks, and subway stations from the 1910s remind us that we are surrounded by history everywhere we look.
