Average hotel in a great central location with fantastic staff. Rooms are decent and quite, but our first room was very dirty and run-down so hotel management promptly switched our rooms. The free breakfest is pretty average, but it is served in a very cramped room, so we opted to skip it and walk half a block to a great...

In all of my domestic and international travels, I cannot think of any hotel to rival this one in terms of service and beauty. It is a true little real gem! Not only are the rooms amazing, the breakfast fantastic, and the location just fine -- it's the staff that truly stand out for me. Not only were they helpful,...

Highly recommend the hotel. It is centrally located next to shops, banks, restaurants and almost anything else you my need or want. The staff is particularly accommodating. From the young lady serving breakfast in the morning to the desk clerks, everyone is very nice and accommodating. Rodrigo, in particular, was very helpful.

Really great hotel. One of the best we stayed at over the course of our 7 week South American trip. Check in was very smooth. When I told reception my name they had everything ready. Our bags were taken to the room while they ran us through all of the attractions around Buenos Aires and gave us info on tango...

I hate writing this review becuase I have to give it such a bad review. The staff was great and the rooms are nice and clean. The problem was however that there was such a terrible smell in our room. We checked in late and headed out right away so we did not discover the problem before it was to...

Dear Joakim and Sigrid, Thank you for choosing CasaCalma Hotel for your stay in Buenos Aires. I would like to offer my sincere apology for the inconvenience you had as our guest´s. I was informed about your problem as soon as you told our front desk team about it, during your check out. Unfortunately, it was too late for us...

Just returned from a trip to Buenos Aires and was pleasantly surprised by the accommodations at Casa Calma Hotel. Although rather modest on the outside and a somewhat hidden entrance , the staff were amazingly attentive and kind. We arrived a bit early and our room was understandably not ready but Noelia at the front desk welcomed us into the...

We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff is amazing, the location could not be better, the security is great and the hotel rooms are extremely classy. The only suggestion is to offer a more private bathroom door.

The Casa Calma Hotel is not like any other hotel I have stayed in. It is more like staying with family. The reception desk was wonderful! We arrived very early in the morning and they quickly accommodated us with a room and even upgraded us! It was our 46th anniversary and they gave us complimentary champagne with snacks and even...

Staying in Retiro

Neighbourhood Profile
Retiro
Exquisite palaces and luxurious apartment buildings combine with art galleries and exclusive boutiques to make Retiro the perfect spot for those who enjoy sophistication. However, the non-stop foot traffic to and from Retiro train and bus terminals, accompanied by the myriad of trucks leaving and arriving at the port, mean this neighbourhood is never truly at rest. One minute you are walking down a street dotted with ornate mansions and luxurious shop windows and the next you find yourself surrounded by a sea of people racing to catch their train or bus. It is this juxtaposition of never-ending comings and goings and quiet, elegant luxury that defines Retiro, as well as Buenos Aires, a city where sharp contrasts are all around.
