We found this place after our other accomodation did not work out at the last minute. We booked on line from in the car and arrived 20 minutes later. They were not expecting us when we arrived as they had not checked their bookings, but still welcomed us with smiles and we were made to feel very welcome. Rudolf and... More

First of all the owners - they are so welcoming, so easygoing, that from the very first moment you want to be friends with them forever. Second, the residence looks and feels like traditional Portuguese house, but from the inside you'll find there dishwashing machine, best quality cooking utensils, fireplace, and so on, all of very good quality with a... The place seems really relaxing ! We have been there with huge group of adults and children (and used all the houses) to celebrate the new year's eve ! The landlord is an extremely cool guy, fan of surf. Children were enjoying the the proximity with the animals, dogs, cats, goats, sheeps, ... If you are coming from Lisbon's airport,... More

We left it late and had to find a last minute solution, but when we finally got there, almost at midnight we couldn't believe our luck . Set in a slightly remote village, Monte De Choca has a very special vibe. Relaxed and homely with a gorgeous swimming pool, a beautiful slightly wild garden and friendly family of cats and... More

For us, it was not the most fortunate choice. Yes, it is quiet, green, secluded. Even if this is what I usually look for, with a toddler and bad weather (very windy and cold in April), I realized we should better be somewhere else - with more people, more safe space to run around, a town to go for a... What an amazing gem of a find with fabulous hosts Rudy (who speaks five languages) and Angelica ( a delightful Brazilian lady). Nothing is too much trouble and the views are breathtaking. We stayed in a two bedroom cottage which was immacultate and clean with tables and chairs outside. It is so peaceful and we relaxed within a day. The... More

Great stay at Monte da Choça. Set amid the greenery of rolling hills, it seemed a bit remote at first but very soon became a welcome sight after a day out walking the cliffs or braving the ocean. The garden and pool are also wonderfully relaxing. We - 2 adventuresome daughters included - found it hard to tear ourselves away!... More

Monte de choça is NOT one of those new Portuguese design and heritage places, but it does not pretend to be. It is a peaceful, located in the middle of nowhere (but only 15 mins away from the greatest beaches), old typical Portuguese longhouse (so you kind of stay in the stables). Some T1 (one room) and T2 (two rooms)... More

Hidden well away in the Southwest Alentejano Natural Park, Monte da Choça is the perfect place to unwind and 'get away from it all'. It is situated close to some of Portugal's most outstanding (and some quite deserted) beaches, yet it also boasts it's own imaculately maintained pool. The accomodation is rustic in style, but features all the modern facilities... More

“Any of the rooms depending on the size required. The studio is fine for a young couple and the T2s are fine for larger groups. All are well designed and I would be happy to stay in any.”

“We had the 'Brown' room which had nothing special. I visited the green and red room (T2) and especially the latter seemed the best option to me. All rooms have there outside dining area which are conveniently tucked away between the plants to offer some privacy.”
