THE ESTATE The white houses have the mountain as their backdrop. You feel like the space belongs just to you. The architecture is traditional with yellow or blue bars giving some colour to Monte Branco ("White Farm"). There is a lot of space to go for a walk. The soft morning light makes you want to visit the oak grove (the "Montado"), the orchard and the small dam with surrounding wilderness. We've been conquered. We want to stay. HOUSES At Monte Branco estate we have four houses. The decorative objects and the furniture were the result of multiple visits to markets and local antique shops. The houses with 1, 2 and 4 rooms have space from 2 to 17 persons. You can rent a house and have it just to yourself or you can get together with some friends and rent the full estate, sharing a weekend or some vacations. The evenings near the swimming pool won't be forgotten!

A former farm building, this enchanting holiday rental is located in a secluded end-of-the-road situation, with endless views over fields, olive and cork trees, vineyards.
There are different units for rent, we stayed at a four bedroom house with two bathrooms, all beautifully decorated and clean.
Great private pool with BBQ and loungers, over-viewing the valley.
Top value for money - great place to relax by the pool, or as a base to discover the Alentejo with its castles and old cities.
Only (minor) downside: kitchen needs some update (one fridge not working, the other's door didn't close; dishwasher wasn't working; some small kitchen stuff missing). There are not many mosquitos, but better bring mosquito repellent.

At about an hour and a half by car from Lisboa, you couldn't expect for a more confortable place to stay. Far far away from noisy cities and stress. Beautiful little typical white and blue (or yellow) houses with the good balance between sobriety, design et typical farm house interiors. The "welcoming commity" was so kind and discreat and helpful when needed. The price is really intersting. You can easely cook, the small kitchens have everything you need… if not, just ask ! Don't miss the beautiful towns around, Evora was a bliss to walk trew. 35°C during our september trip, not a cloud, perfect with the pool. Make sure to have a GPS to get there, it's worth it.
