The Hyatt name alone evokes luxury, which is why I had high expectations when I checked in here. Checking in at the reception was a breeze and our room was certainly comfy. There was no building next door at our side of the hotel but since the location was along the busy Roxas Blvd., you can hear a low hum from the passing vehicles but which didn't hamper my sleep. The bed and pillows had the right firmness, while the blanket was not so tightly anchored to the bed (unlike in most hotels) that allowed you to wiggle your feet. Wife was fast and strong (no logging in needed), TV worked like a charm, bathroom was spacious with separate shower and tub. The best part was all contents in the mini-bar was FREE, both drinks and snacks! Aside from that, there were 4 bottles of mineral water (also free) which I think was 1.5 liters each. Now that's the most generous supply of bottled water I've seen.
The following morning, I also expected to be impressed by the breakfast buffet. Sadly, this was a bit of a let-down. The spread was not as extensive as those of Shangrila's, and even the taste of some viands left much to be desired. Many of the foods were not served hot even if their pots sat over supposedly hot warmers. There were only 2 kinds of cheese: cheddar and camembert (what??). I think the egg station has to work more efficiently as my order of omelet took about 15 mins to arrive instead of the 5 mins promised, and I had to go to the cook twice to follow up. Finally, without asking us, the waiters came in to clear our table of plates and utensils in order to put in new ones for other guests. I looked around and not only were there a lot of vacant tables but there was no queue at the entrance! Why were they rushing us? Bottom line: the buffet did not measure up to the 5-star Hyatt standard.

Our stay at the Hyatt Regency City of Dreams Hotel in Manila was impressive. The modern design of the rooms and the range of amenities provided a luxurious and comfortable experience. We were impressed because everything we need is readily available and is in good condition. We also love the fresh-smelling rooms and common areas which always make our stay enjoyable and cozy. The service was attentive and the dining options were diverse and high-quality. The hotel staffs are one call away, kind, and approachable, special thanks to Melody, Hannah, Charlene, Kristine, Shey, Joel, Beverly, Michelle and Lourisse. Overall, it was a great stay and we are looking forward to staying at the hotel again.

Only thing that got me bothered was that I didn't get approached by any staff to carry my bags when I was checking out even when I was carrying them in front of the front desk while checking out. Other than that, the staff were straightforward and sharp. They referred to me as my surname (not consistently) whenever I would call. The in-room dining food was decent and nothing special for me, the pasta needs a-lot of improvement though (dry and cheap kind of carbonara). The best thing about my stay that I liked, was the fast service whenever I would request for housekeeping, room service, additional needs, etc. I'd also like to be grateful of the room upgrade given to me, from a king bed city view to a big suite.

Hyatt Regency Manila City of Dreams is always and will always be my family's favorite and "go-to" hotel whenever we are in Metro Manila. Whether it is a staycation away from Bulacan or a strategic location for Business agenda, I will always choose this hotel. I am a frequent International traveller myself and I always book this hotel whenever I have my scheduled flights because it is only 10 minutes away from NAIA Terminal 3 via car. When my Mom and I had a scheduled VFS Schengen Visa appointment, this is where we checked in also for convenience. For leisure and recreation, Hyatt Regency is a few minutes walk from Ayala Mall. It also has access to Dreamplay for kids and kids at heart. I love their pool especially their hot jacuzzi wherein you can relax your tired muscles after spending some time at their well-equipped gym. As for their hotel rooms, their room is spacious which is suitable for a family. Their bed's mattress is perfect. I remember one time when my Mom and I shared in 1 King Sized bed, even if you toss and turn in the middle of the night, the other person would not even feel it and will not disturb your sleep. Sheets and pillows smell clean and fresh. Everything that you will need is in this room including their bathroom: from generous number of towels to my all-time favorite Aloe extract shampoo, conditioner, bodywash and lotion{that smells so wonderful!} to toothbrush with toothpaste etc. Aside from all these things that I have mentioned, their staffs' customer service skills are superb and most specifically their manager, Mr. Wilson! We check in every weekend and Mr. Wilson never fails to assist us to make everything comfortable, speedy and organized for us. It never fails everytime we would go. Always consistent. He always welcomes us with a bright smile and a welcoming attitude. Thank you, Hyatt Regency Manila City of Dreams for always taking care of us whenever we visit. You are always our second home whenever we are in M.M.! See you again soon!

It was close to the airport and connected to City of Dreams via an underground link, so it was very convenient. I stayed one night on the way to Palawan Island and one night on the way there and one night on the way back, and the staff were very kind and the room was clean. The bathroom had both a shower room and a bathtub, and the washroom was spacious so I was able to relax in the bathtub. I think this is true throughout the Philippines, but the guards with machine guns were all kind to children and I would like to stay here again next time I'm in Manila. My husband had one complaint - he said it was a shame the club lounge closed early.

If you are looking for a hotel that thrives on convenience, this hotel is not for you.
When we checked in at 3, the room was not yet ready and was still being cleaned. That we understood. We were also told upon entering the vicinity that outside food was not allowed, we again understood and agreed to put it in storage. To my surprise, a fee guests were bearing foods like McDonald's and KFC inside. Even eating it inside the lobby. This is where it started going downhill. Lol. They have restaurants inside, yes, to which we decided to try out a few on our first day. On our second day we wanted something different but did not want to leave the hotel. But alas, outside food not allowed. We were forced to visit the nearby mall for every meal because of this policy because we cannot bring anything in. Although the mall is nearby, it is such a hassle to keep going out for food when what you are craving for is not available in their vicinity.
Our first night, we also declared that one of their glasses had a chip and we requested for a replacement. They confirmed but NO ONE replaced the glasses even when room service already cleaned the place.
When we decided to go for a swim, the very unfriendly lady at the pool concierge was very condescending. They asked what name the room was under, I provided our friend's name (she booked the room for us). She told us we were not listed in the room so if we wanted to swim we would have to pay 1,800 each. How can this be when the front desk asked for our IDs when we checked in? She told us (in a very condescending way) "go down to the front desk and pay 1800". At this point, the endless walking just to get food has caught up, plus the other inconvenience we experienced when they did not allow our grab car to come in immediately, we were mad and had to energy to argue. We called the front desk and they told us our names were there and to tell the pool concierge, this is only one of the many miscommunications they had amongst themselves (talk about lack of preparedness and communication). At this point, it was sundown and none of us wanted to swim anymore so we scrapped the whole idea. Some of our family members decided to check out earlier than scheduled because of stress.
Mind you, we have stayed in multiple 5 star hotels -- once every month at-least, this is by far the most inconvenient hotel we have been to and the unfriendliest staff we have encountered. Even though their rooms are ok, we are never coming back.

The hotel is very nice clean be prepared to have all your luggage scan before you enter the building and you need to walk through the metal detector as well also, I’ll just dive right into it. It’ll be nice if they let you know ahead of time that you cannot take photos videos or wear shades and you need to turn your hat if you have a baseball cap to the back security jammed me up a few times to put these rules in place that should’ve been said at the beginning, so sport wager I instantly got approached by security and felt uncomfortable. They were totally professional. It’s just that I didn’t know the rules. Also make sure to take note that there is no outside food allowed at all or not to bring food or any other type of from outside. I suggested in my earlier comment reviews that if that’s the case, they’re gonna need to do a lot of adjustments and have some culinary chef come in or put in a full core with places that we can recognize such as maybe a Kenny Rogers Roastery chicken or a P.F. Chang’s so that way we know what to expect when we stay if not, the burden is to provide good eats.

I booked a club room. Since I arrived early in the morning on the day of check-in, I spent about 3 hours in the lobby. I had expected that if you book a club room, breakfast would be served if you arrived early in the morning, and if you depart early in the morning, they would prepare something like a lunch box, etc. However, when I told them that I had to pay JP6,000 yen for breakfast and that I was leaving early in the morning, they said, "Oh, I see, please call the tax yourself," and were very rude about everything, so there was no point in staying in a club room. The alcohol service at night was the same every day, with only one type of sweet sparkling wine and two types of red and white wine, and the breakfast was cold pancakes and the same menu every day... I will never stay at this hotel again.

Ian Castillo, the front desk - reception staff were exceptionally helpful in ensuring our understanding of our stay. They patiently answered all our questions and explained everything we needed to know. I particularly love the lavish look of the room, especially the bed.
I also love the shampoo, conditioner, or bath set I practically ordered online because it's that good. I appreciate the complimentary items.
I love that our air conditioner automatically balances the coldness and hotness of the room.
Furthermore, I was impressed that the gym and swimming pool attendants were guiding and helpful. Although I didn't get their names, they were helpful in answering our questions, especially regarding the amenities we were allowed to use during our stay.
The front desk - shuttle service, and room bell personnel are incredibly helpful. Their elegant and accommodating speech, coupled with their friendliness, is truly impressive.
Checking out is easy if you pay up front. Just drop your electronic keys and card at the front desk.
Overall, its annoyingly excellent that I want to come back. 😊
The Cafe:
Regarding the café for breakfast, I enjoyed the accommodating assistance of all staff, from the front desk to the one delivering the coffee, as well as those who provided helpful suggestions on what to eat. The personnel at each food station were smiling, making it relaxing to get food. I prefer not to have sad staff manning the food booths.
Negative Feedback:
One thing I don’t like is the smell of smoke. I'm with family members in another type of room - Deluxe, and their room has a noticeable scent of someone smoking.
