Seda Manila Bay has earned praise for its clean, spacious rooms, though a few guests suggest they could benefit from updates. The hotel's amenities, including a luxurious pool and spa, are a hit, despite occasional service hiccups. Its prime location is a crowd-pleaser, offering easy access to malls and airports. Visitors often remark on the cozy ambiance, underscored by live music and stylish decor. Cleanliness is consistently lauded, thanks to diligent housekeeping. While service is generally well-regarded, it can lag during busy periods. Opinions on value for money are mixed, with some guests considering it a worthwhile splurge.

Our seventh floor room was quickly accessed by three of the six lifts.

The room was spacious and had a King bed with great linen and a comfortable doona/duvet, a good two seater couch and a round glass-topped table with an office chair.

There was also a lengthy bedroom shelf plus an open wardrobe that included a security safe and hairdryer.

Lamps were on the desk plus on the two bedside tables. Only one of the latter had a spare power point. This lack of accessible power points was not great.

Excellent blackout curtains were provided. There was minimal traffic noise, mostly from the loudest motorcycles.

The walk-in shower's head was not configured as a rainhead but given the excellent water pressure, it became one. Hot water sometimes took almost 45 seconds to arrive.

The bathroom mirror did not fog up. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were in refillable bottles. Towels were reasonable though not fluffy, and not bath towel size.

There was an anti-slip shower mat. Good large mirrors were strategically placed.

The open wardrobe had good hanging space.

The minibar was clean with a kettle, tea and coffee on offer.

The TV had a very good range of chanels including some movies.

The aircon worked well. It was pretty quiet.

Breakfast at Misto on the ground floor was extremely crowded. Waiting times of 10 to 15 minutes at 0900 hours occurred. The range was quite good but no yoghurt was on display, though I obtained some.

Intern Krista at Misto provided very good service. The omelette station was efficient. There was a 4th floor additional seating area for brekkie but it lacked the cooking station.

The pool area looked terrific but we were not at the hotel long enough to try.

The hotel has airconditioned direct access to Ayala Malls' 4th floor. Take your room key as this gives access to the almost secret entrance near Zhenbao Hotpot.

Ayala Malls Manila Bay has a large number of restaurants plus a newly opened in October 2024 The Landmark department store. Its new basement Landmark supermarket is huge: there are cheap dining options outside it.

Staff with whom we interacted were excellent with requests such as a new bottle of filtered water promptly handled.

The hotel also has a roof bar but I did not patronise.

Seda is one of those local hotel chains that my family and I had developed a fondness for, which is why when my mom requested to try the somewhat new Seda Manila Bay, I obliged.

In our previous stays with Seda, I usually book via email, but this time around, with some time in my pocket, I decided to surf the web and uncovered Seda Edge, their loyalty program. I signed up then immediately made a direct booking to their website. It was so easy and convenient, plus I got the best available rate (confirmed and did compare it with Booking.com/Agoda) given that it was only 2 days away from our desired booking date.

Fast forward to the day of our check-in. We decided to have lunch in Ayala Malls Manila Bay, but before doing so, we dropped by the hotel lobby to inform them that we were present for our booking and that we would just grab a bite. Voilà, in doing so, I was offered to check in early, and my preference of having connecting rooms for the 2 rooms I booked is available. Huge thanks to the front desk for being very proactive, knowing I have a 5-month-old baby with me.

All was going well until I went for a quick pool dip with my baby and went back to the room to wash her up. Boom, the toilet is flooded because the floor drain is clogged. My wife rushed to get our baby so I could try to fix the clogged drain, but unfortunately, it was beyond me. I called housekeeping, and they sent someone up to check. I was already cold and soaking wet but was patient to wait. The maintenance worker advised me that they would need to bring a vacuum to suck out all the clogged dirt. Mind you, that was 5:30 p.m. I decided to just take a shower in the other room that I had booked, which was used by my siblings. I decided to go down to the reception and got to speak to Charles, who was very accommodating and tried to pacify the situation. It was very inconvenient for us to be waiting for the repair work to finish. An hour turned to two and more, so I decided to ask if we could just transfer to a different room as we had our dinner already and it was past 9 p.m. Everyone of us wanted to shower and sleep, but we couldn’t. Imagine if we only had 1 room booked. Where would we go to pee? To do our business?

Finally, after more than 3 hours, we were transferred to a suite on the same floor. Charles advised me that it was the engineering team who advised that they could fix it, that is why there was a delay in our transfer. I totally understand, but then my baby became fuzzy all the while that we were waiting because of the repair noise.

If not for the inconveniences we experienced, I would have given the visit a 5/5, but then as a dad, my kids’ convenience is my topmost priority. We still will be back, and hopefully by then, it will be a better experience.

Oh, by the way, my mom loves every Misto restaurant of the Seda group, plus their signature attentive service during the busy breakfast buffet, that they’ve been consistent in.

If you're looking for a convenient and comfortable hotel near Manila Bay, Seda Hotel is always a solid choice. Even though my stay was brief, it didn’t disappoint. Here's a recap of my experience during my short one-night stay, which ended up being far more enjoyable than I anticipated.

Smooth Check-In and Comfortable Room

I booked a deluxe room just before my flight, and the check-in process was a breeze—even though I arrived at night. The staff were efficient and welcoming, and I felt taken cared of right from the start. The room itself was spacious, clean, and well-appointed, which made it easy to unwind after a long day of travel.

While I was only there for a short stay, it was clear that Seda Hotel prioritizes guest comfort and convenience. Even the parking process was seamless, although the exit at 2 a.m. was a little confusing—but nothing a quick turn around couldn’t fix!

Thoughtful Service and Extra Touches

One thing I particularly appreciated was the staff's attention to detail. My daughter was scheduled to arrive later that evening, and the team offered me an extra room key in advance to ensure her comfort. This little gesture showed their commitment to making sure everything ran smoothly for both of us.

Safety was also a priority. The hotel made sure I felt secure and well taken cared of throughout my stay. It’s always a relief to know that these factors are top of mind, especially when traveling alone or with family.

Convenient Location and Amenities

Another highlight was the hotel’s proximity to the adjacent Ayala Mall, which made it easy to grab a quick bite or do some last-minute shopping without venturing far from the property. This is definitely a huge plus for those who are looking for convenience and accessibility.

For my early departure at 2 a.m., Seda Hotel went above and beyond by offering a packed breakfast, which was a nice touch when leaving so early. It’s always appreciated when hotels think ahead for their guests' comfort.

Consistent Quality and a Warm Welcome

This wasn’t my first time staying at Seda Hotel Manila Bay, and each time, the experience has been consistently excellent. Whether it's the friendly staff, the modern amenities, or the smooth check-in/check-out process, Seda always delivers.

I’m already looking forward to my next stay, whether it’s for business or leisure. If you’re looking for a reliable and comfortable stay in Manila, Seda Hotel Manila Bay should definitely be at the top of your list.

Final Thoughts
Seda Hotel Manila Bay is a reliable choice for travelers seeking comfort, convenience, and quality service. Even with a brief stay, they continue to impress me. From the effortless check-in process to the thoughtful service and prime location, it’s clear this hotel has earned its place as a go-to spot in the heart of Manila.

It was a good and pleasant stay not until an incident happened. While preparing to check out, a member of the housekeeping team suddenly opened the door without knocking or using the doorbell. This kind of incident is extremely disturbing as a member of the housekeeping team can just open and enter the room.

I won an overnight stay so I was excited as Seda is a bit of a premium hotel and out of budget for me, so I'm expecting a good "staycation" for me, ny mom, and my daughter. My mom's idea of staycation is just stay in the room and relax but ceilings may be too thin as we can here the people walking and running and stomping their feet which really disturbs our rest and sleep.

My mom is complaining as well that the tv audio is too low for 100 that there are channels that I cant here what they are saying. Cant even setup Netflix or Disney coz we were so excited to watch Squid Game during our staycation and we had to watch or from an ipad..turns out we cant do anything inside the room.

Spa prices, as expected, is too pricey. 1800 is their minimum, if I remember it right based on their price list.

The game room, we dont know who to ask or reach out to to play with the console and air hockey.

Food are mainly bland but I get that it coz people have diff tastes..but still, it's bland.

I got this for free so whiel I'm thankful, Im just stating these coz I want them to improve so that I would want to return and spend my own money for a stay. I wouldnt mind spending if we all enjoyed it. But sadly, based our stay, I've had better experience from other hotels that cost less.

The customer service by all staff was wonderful. The most standout service was when we checked out at noon, we were allowed to leave all of our luggage in the lobby since we had a late flight. They kept our suitcases secured while we had one last shopping trip to neighboring Ayala mall.

I am currently staying (until tomorrow) at Seda Manila Bay, and overall, my experience has been positive to a certain degree. The hotel is in a convenient location, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, there are a couple of areas where my stay has fallen short.

First, the breakfast service this morning was quite disappointing. I was seated at table 15, but there was no cutlery at my table. After unsuccessfully searching for a cutlery station, I had to take utensils from another table. While this was a minor inconvenience, the real issue occurred when I tried to order eggs at the egg/omelet station. I was ignored three times by the staff, despite waiting patiently and later returning to my table. Eventually, a server asked if I needed anything, and I requested both coffee and an egg. Although the coffee was brought, the egg order was ignored again, leaving me feeling overlooked and prompting me to leave the breakfast.

In addition, I was disappointed to find that the pool bar is only open on Saturdays, with no service available for guests on other days. This limited access to such a key facility was another letdown.

To add to the disappointment, the housekeeping service was incomplete. I still have empty pillowcases and boxes of wipes left in my room. The refillable toiletries were placed on my bed, but the used ones were not removed. This lack of attention to detail in room cleaning detracted further from my stay.

That being said, the hotel does have its merits. The location is convenient, and the rooms are comfortable. With some improvements to the breakfast service, housekeeping, and better pool bar hours, Seda Manila Bay could provide a much better overall experience for its guests.

I stayed for about 9 nights. The service was excellent. We initially had an issue with the room we were placed in, but the staff quickly sorted us out a different room. The staff are very accommodating. The rooms were clean and well kept. The AC units were very effective, bathrooms clean, and entertainment systems in working order. The security of the hotel was very good with restrictions on entering staying floors without a proper hotel room key. The pool is very spacious and luxurious, placed at the 5th floor roof overlooking the nearby mall. The games room was welcoming to both kids and adults with foosball, air hockey, PS5 systems, and even a small toys area for younger hotel guests. The spa located also on the 5th floor had excellent service and great masseuses. The breakfast had a vast array of different options, including an eggs on demand service, toast, waffles, breakfast cereals, dried fish, assorted sandwiches, pastries, soups, various philippine deserts, and more. There was always something I could enjoy at the breakfast. The rooftop bar was wonderful, with live music and excellent service. It's a great place to wind down for the night and maybe even enjoy the occasional view of a thunderstorm over Manila.

Overall the trip was amazing and the hotel was the perfect relaxing, safe, and accommodating experience. I would highly recommend this to anyone.

Good day! It was a quality time with my family on this hotel. Find it beyond our expectation. Parking is not a problem since the hotel is adjacent to ayala mall by the bay. So it was easy to walk going for malling. I say the room is a bit spacious, have an ambiance of a quality area, especially the king size bed which we find comfortable. The comfort room is ok and have their necessary shampoo, liquid soap, dental and vanity kits. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfast, the foods were fresh and quality. The amenities like the pool was also large, my kids enjoy the kiddie pool with a lifeguard on post. Overall, i think the hotel is outstanding and family friendly. Thank you to all the staff and keep it up!
