Have been visiting Bali since the early 70's (went as a child :) but this was the first time I have stayed in Candidasa - certainly wont be the last. Kicked off this short 12 night trip with 4 nights at this hotel in a Pool View Bungalow - no 5, on May 5th, picked up by hotel car at the airport by a very nice driver. View across the pool and towards the sea was lovely. Two nice private verandahs to sit out on and relax during the day and nights.
Bungalow room was large with a good size fridge that worked well. Room was clean and very comfortable. Large King Size bed with good linen, safe provided. Cleaning staff very efficent. All staff here were polite and helpful and appeared very happy in their roles. Lovely gardens, ponds, statues. Small well kept beach area.
There is a on- site spa which we used a couple of times for massages, very reasonably priced and also booked a day tour with the hotel driver which was excellent. The restaurant at the hotel made a very impressive breakfast.
Walking generally was quite easy and safe with a footpath on both sides of the main road. Can be a challenge at night so have your phone torch handy. We walked from hotel to lotus pond area and there is a temple across the road worth a visit. Plenty of places to eat outside the hotel and a few shops to explore. Dining Room bottle shop sells fresh milk, cheese etc plus alcohol of course and the prices there were cheaper than the other areas we stayed at in Bali. We also found the Money Changers exchange rates in Candidasa was a bit higher than other parts we stayed in.
Will return on our next trip as we really enjoyed the area and the hotel. Hopefully can sort out some pool lights to take home next time.

The resort run by Mr bradley and his team are Absolutely wonderful . We stayed in the villas closer to be beach with their own infinity pool The bungalows are situated nearer to the resturant and 2 pools surrounded by beautiful gardens which are beautifully maintained Cannot fault a single thing from the staff , food , day spa ,cleanliness , communication and nothing to too much trouble . Candi dasa itself is like the old Bali and all the resturant s /Burongs pick you up and drop you back to hotel . Would love to keep it a secret but had to share to be fair .

When we arrived at Candi Dasa we were a bit worried thst we might like being here. After checking in we were escorted to our apartment straight away. We booked a one bedroom with plunge pool. It is pet friendly with little Millie have a ball with another pet on holiday. The plunge pool was cold! And just deep enough. The resort consists of apartments bungalows and studio rooms. There are 2 pools one for bungaliws andvone for studio plus apartments right on the beach. I was delifgted to see that the staff chucked out mop water after each clean ! The overall bill was a rediculous $40 which consisted of w lunches and extra coffee and pancakes at breakfast. Breakfast was well cooked and you justvpaidcfor extras which was crazy cheap ! A vegemite jar had pride of place on tge breakfast table, after seeing this we did meet the aussie owner Brad and sidepaw Millie. A lovely place to stay and fully unwind and charge the body. Serene and on the beach front. However the beach is not really suitable to just walk into the waves lots of rocks. But sootging to the soul to smell hear and view. A lovely spot !

Initially we had a good impression of the place but it lasted a few minutes. We arrived and were not even given the expected welcome cocktail, but this is the minimum. The room had to be sea view but we could barely feel the sea, we arrive in the room which was nice big and we go to take a shower. Terrible experience... I found spiders and a huge geko in my bathroom, it must have been at least 25 cm without the tail. In the other bathroom it went worse with a crab and a cockroach. After a bit of discussion we were accepted, the new room was not sea view but in theory it was superior since it had a small private pool, too bad that pool despite requests was NEVER cleaned. Arrived also this room smelled of insecticide that they had probably sprayed preemptively, we check the room and in the bathroom we find an animal poop (probably another geko) and the sheets were dirty. We point things out, they clean the bathroom and bring us dirty new sheets, too. But of course it didn't end there, in short list the other problems: extremely rude staff at reception, breakfast that had 90% of the things for a fee despite being included, slightly cloudy main pool water, poor WiFi, we asked them to call a taxi or grab (a sort of local uber) and they didn't know how to do it but as an alternative they offered us their driver at ridiculously high prices. I would not stay there even if they paid me and I strongly advise against everyone going there!

Thank you so much Brad and staff for making my birthday trip very special. We stayed in Villa 1 which is on the beach and adjacent to the horizon pool. Whilst very close to everything the room was very quiet and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was brilliant and for someone who normally loves a buffet breakfast the chef did a fantastic job of offering yummy choices ( the fresh pineapple juice was delicious ) The meals during the day and evening are also very tasty and very reasonably priced. Loved having toasted sandwiches by the pool during the day - along with a crisp cold Bintang. Walking distance to most restaurants and a few little gems around the corner. Book a snorkeling trip with Made through reception. Or take a boat ride to White Sands beach. Great value. Highly recommend this little slice of heaven. If you want peace and quiet and relaxation in a super friendly and great value part of Bali then don't go past Bayshore.

This is a great, great resort with caring owner and fantastic staff. We stayed for 5 nights in the Poolside villa with our 6 year old twins and had a wonderful time. The breakfasts are great and the food at the restaurant is well priced and of high quality. The resort is located right on the beach and across from rice fields with some great family run warungs within in 100-200m either side of the resort. We had a busy 5 days visiting Ahmed, Virgin beach and local traditional village and we organised all transport and tours through the hotel and prices are competitive and driver Su is fantastic and a very lovely caring man. Owner Brad is a great host and is interested in you having a good time and enjoying his resort he’s very much a local identity and everywhere we went we were asked about Mr Brad. Cant say enough about the quality of the resort, the location is great with a short 400m walk into shops , banks and restaurants. My wife had a massage, pedicure and facial and prices were very competitive and staff very professional and good at what they do. We loved that our 6 year twins felt save and could wander around the resort by themselves and were always well cared for and liked out for by the fantastic staff. The manager of reception Putu is fantastic too, as is Jiro who works in restaurant and Wayan and Made in the Spa.
If your going to Candidasa and you should it’s a wonderful, quieter more authentic Bali then you can’t go past Bayshore, we will be back.

We stayed at Bayshore Villas in August for 6 nights in a pool side Villa the rooms were very clean & bed comfortable. The staff were very friendly & helpful, the breakfast specials were really tasty & something different on the menu each day. The owner was a really friendly guy & having a chat with us most days, extremely helpful with want ever you wanted to know of around Candidasa. The room had Netflix on in our room. I would stay here again, we had a lovely stay here. And they had lovely maintain gardens.

Our second stay and still as peaceful as ever. We had 3 nights in this wonderful resort, but this time chose the corner suite with the amazing glass frontage with uninterrupted views of the ocean and fabulous scenery beyond. The beach and lap pool is right outside your door step and a short stroll to the restaurant for breakfast and dinner. There is another pool near the restaurant, but we didn’t need to use it. The food was so amazing and menu so vast, we ate there every night. My husband particularly loved the French onion soup and duck with orange sauce. We also booked a coffee scrub and full body massage for 2hrs which we highly recommend. Brad and the staff are so attentive, nothing is too much trouble, but the star of the show is little miss Millie the hotel watch dog. We miss her already and cannot wait to revisit again.

Lovely setting and great location. Bungalows could do with luggage stands and more bench space in the outdoor bathroom. Included breakfast was good. Main pool area was nice. However, if you intend to stay in Candidasa in May, I would first check when and where the yearly African Drumming Camp sessions are being held (beware late May 2025 and at this resort). We were not informed that sessions were held at this resort when we booked in August 2023 or at any stage. We were thus having to put up with loud drumming for 4-5 hours per day. Not the quiet, relaxing time we had all anticipated. It was not until day 3 that we informed of a tucked away second pool area that was away from the drumming sessions and therefore more peaceful. We were also not overly impressed when after a hot, very sweaty and long drumming / dance session, some participants entered the pool fully clothed. Some pool etiquette would have been appreciated.

When in Bali, I always like to spend a week in Candidasa, for enjoy the peace of it. My wife and I have been recommended from a friend to book at the Bayshore resort.
At the end of it I was sorry that I had to spend only one week there, because the place is sensational.
There are different kind of rooms, our one had double bathroom, lounge area, big bedroom, with double aircon and private pool. Also minibar with drinks and snacks it’s available, and obviously the restaurant room service.
The place has an Infinity pool facing the ocean and the large pool with off course table and stools in the water.
Every morning there is a fresh cooked breakfast with a daily special. Drinks and food are amazing, the chefs are very talented. I suggest to try the typical Indonesian dinner (I forgot the name but it’s a taste of all the traditional dishes) with plenty of lovely food and an amazing poolside table set up. Every afternoon there is an happy hour for cocktails.
The staff is very very friendly, and they keep the place immaculate. There is the option of driver for pick up and drop off airport, lots activities to be done around , and a massage/Spa, also an amazing and convenient laundry service.
I highly recommend the stay to Bayshore and I’ll definitely go back.
