Diving, snorkeling and fishing are extremely popular activities here and the local fishermen land their daily catch of fresh seafood right on the beach in the same way that they’ve done it for hundreds of years. The verdant hills behind provide a variety of lovely walks and some optional hard climbs, whilst the town of Candidasa offers shopping and dining experiences for all.

This is our second stay here and again enjoyed it very much. We used the resort as our base to scuba dive in the area. We stayed in the upstairs, both pool and sea facing, 1 bedroom "imperial apartment". This stay was for 1 week using our Karma timeshare allocation. The apartment is very large, with a full kitchen, dining table, lounge area, large TV, a sound system, good size bedroom with a "bit too firm for me" king size bed, and ensuite with separate bath and shower. There is air conditioning in both the bedroom and main living area but it struggled a bit with the heat of the afternoon. A balcony with chairs overlooks the sea but does catch the hot afternoon sun as well. TV reception was poor, WiFi was average to slow. It was pretty quiet but I would imagine if you had a few noisy guests at the restaurant or pool it would be intrusive. Both the pool and restaurant were just a few steps downstairs from the apartment. The food in the restaurant was varied, reasonably priced by hotel standards and very tasty. The staff all over the resort were very friendly and helpful. There are a couple of local minimarts a short walk away as well as a few shops and several local warungs to eat at. The one a few steps away on the other side of the road next to the minimart was really good and cheap. We ate there several times (the 1kg fresh prawns cooked however you like, was yum). Glass bottles of fresh drinking water are provided in the room and you refill them as needed at a central refill station in the garden. The gardens are lovely and well maintained. There is occasional entertainment of an evening. There is a twice daily shuttle service to/from Candidasa town (about 10 minutes drive away) at 9-11am and 11am - 1pm. A late afternoon one would be useful. The spa/beauty services shack is small but the staff very accommodating and we had very nice massages (one of which we won at the trivia night - even better!). A lovely and secluded spot from the hustle and bustle of Kuta. The pool area is extremely relaxing overlooking wonderful ocean views. Sunset and sunrise is absolutely beautiful. If ocean swimming is your preference, it’s near impossible in this part of Bali, but a wonderful beach (Virgin Beach) is only about 20 minutes away by car. The resort is approximately 5kms from the main town which is walkable (if you are fit) otherwise transport can be arranged. The meals I had were top class however breakfast was relatively simple which suited me. There was always courteous staff on hand if you needed anything and I was fortunate enough to meet Suzy the manager who was an absolute delight. My only suggestion for improvement and this is very minor, the room key is attached to a large circular wooden key ring. Not a problem if you’re putting this in a bag, but it’s going in your pocket along with everything you have in there, it can be a bit protruding. Would happily go back to this resort.

Karma Candidasa is a small and quite resort.. very quiet. We stayed there for three nights and then proceeded to Karma kandara. Best part is that the resort overlooks the sea. SeavWaves towards the resort directly is a sight to see. The evenings and mornings are wonderful to relax towards the sea. We were given a sea view room after a request. The accommodation consisted of a 1BR, the living quite spacious with a kitchen and an attached bath / toilet. The toilet was a big turn off as it was located just opposite to kitchen and the exhaust was not enough. There was always a bad smell from the toilet and even though the doors were closed. The living had a convertible sofa bed. Kitchenette contained coffee maker, oven and cutlery. The swimming pool was was good for kids and had a few pool beds. Spa was located near the pool. Restaurant overlooked the pool, which overlooked the sea and had very limited options for vegetarians. We had only two or three dishes to choose from in our 3 night holiday. The breakfast had few items including bread and others. There are few local restaurants close by, very small and selling local sea food. We rented a car for sightseeing and the price was reasonable. The car owner cum driver was a very humble, friendly and elderly man. Housekeeping was good. Resort being small was maintained well.

quiet, peaceful, the essence of Bali! I was travelling solo post my husband's tragic death and this location was ideal for a few days. walk through local lifestyle roads revealed some beautiful nature. lovely staff and comfortable accom. walk to a couple of "snorkel & diving centres" to arrange watersport. would love to stay again.

The resort was small but that made meeting people easy. Lots of Aussies! The cooking class we took was excellent and the food we created was delicious! All the food at the small restaurant was tasty and the chef bent over backwards to please any of the guests' special requests. The best part of our experience was the exceptional staff who were friendly, helpful, professional, and always smiling. Be advised that there isn't much for children to do except play in the pool. It is more of an adult-friendly resort. I had 2 of the best massages I've ever had while listening to the ocean waves lap against a stone wall. Very relaxing. Book a driver to take you to all the cultural sites and learn some Indonesian phrases; the staff will love you for it! For beach lovers, there is no beach at the resort, just a pool.There is Virgin Beach about an hour or so drive away that tourists and locals like.

The good: fast wifi, comfy beds, large and good tv, sufficient and good amenities and towels, cleanliness, strong water, quiet place, good water heater, good air conditioning, bathtub, clean although small pool, beachfront, rooms are well-lit, basic cooking utensils with refrigerator, free drinks on Sunday afternoon. Sometimes in the morning we can see dolphins from the restaurant.
The bad: small water jet washer in the main bedroom (but normal for the other bedroom we lived in 2 BR apt), limited variation of breakfast menu day by day, small parking area,
Tips: you can refill drinking water and they will give you 2 bottles. There are good restaurants next door, but if you have car, you can go to.the Candidasa town.

We just back from Bali last Sunday. We stayed in Karma Royal Candidasa for one week from 13th June to 19th. Manger Kevin was really very helpful. He arrange everything for us. This was our fist visit to karma Candidasa but we enjoyed very much. Big swimming pool with very nice sea view. The rooms was nice and big. Resort is bit far from town but they have free shuttle service Monday to Friday twice a day . All staff was helpful. T.v with lots of channel and Wi-Fi as well.

Our first holiday at Karma Royal Candidasa and I can honestly say that it’s been one of our most amazing holidays EVER!
Best of all, the resort is absolute beachfront with great views and you can hear the beautiful sound of the waves all day and night. Stunning sunrises and sunsets.
A big thank you to the resort manager Mr Sulinggih and all his lovely staff for the warm welcome and the outstanding service all throughout our stay.
We had a beautiful 1 Bedroom Imperial Studio with a big balcony where we spent hours relaxing and enjoying the beautiful ocean views.
The onsite restaurant serves authentic freshly cooked Asian , Indonesian and Western food in a scenic beachfront setting . We enjoyed numerous healthy breakfasts, a very special Christmas-Eve dinner and Christmas lunch overlooking the ocean . The staff are very friendly and efficient and went out of their way to make sure that everyone had a great time/
Only 10 minutes to the centre of and most of the restaurants will come and get you if you book a table for lunch dinner (Highly recommend Vincint’s Restaurant.) There’s also a complimentary shuttle service twice a day to Candidasa town.
The onsite Karma Spa overlooking the sea offers a unique menu of relaxing massages, therapies, and beauty treatments by highly experienced and professional therapists. I had some of my best massages, facials, manicures and pedicures here.

The resort was about 10 minutes from the town. The facilities at the resort were fairly minimal with with one restaurant/cafe and a swimming pool. It was good to have the latter as, even though the resort was at the seashore, there was no beach and it would have been impossible to swim in the sea. If you want any cooking facilities in your room (eg microwave), they are available but you have to know to ask for them. Housekeeping was done daily. The staff were wonderful.

Great place to stay. Great people, very friendly. Scuba diving, Warung etc nearby. Sit by the pool and watch and listen to the waves. Food was awesome, fresh and affordable. Pool water not too hot or cold. Suzy from sales was extremely helpful.

King size beds in both very comfortable beds can't recall if zipped. I presume you can get single beds in the one bedroom apartments. We always opt for King size bed.
The room is okay. If you wish a sea facing room you can request on your arrival. If available they will give to you. Contact guest relation Manager Suzy and tell her of your wedding anniversary. She will arrange for you a cake. RM Sullinggi is a wonderful person. Staff. Food and services are excellent. Wish you a very happy anniversary and God bless always. Enjoy.
This place is - Villa Rindik - Candidasa ... they are located "in town", and directly on the ocean. Rainbow friendly ... happy for anyone to stay ... villarindik@hotmail com ... enjoy !
Each one-bedroom apartment can be slightly different... most of the ones in have been in... one bathroom is out in the living room while the other bathroom is in the bedroom... :)
The only rooms that face the sea are 1 and 2 B/R. The rest run at right angles to the ocean in 2 wings. The first few on both sides will have some views when sitting outside. I suggest you email the property. If you are staying as a timeshare exchange it depends on whether you are a Royal member or just an exchange thru RCI etc.
There are more places to choose from in the Candidasa area.
