Very charming old farmhouse. Friendly and helpful staff and management. Good breakfast. Nice porch to Sit and relax. The four dogs - one of them a Great Dane - are very friendly and playful and love to keep you company. The room was nice and well equipped. The only downside during my stay was the noise of the tractor on...

A little difficulty in finding it but if one knows that the turn is at the Aan de Doorns winery it it easy. Web page sites a school and church but I am still looking! The house is set back from the road and beautifully presented as each room has its own character. We are restless sleepers and found the...

Quite tired when we arrived from Agulhas !.. it was hot (38°) and when the host said i should have reserved a day before for dinner, i must have made such a disappointed face that he immediately proposed to join a braai party ( south african BBQ) that evening and went to buy some more meat... we had then a...

Our guest house room decor was stunning and the room itself was very cosy . The guesthouse itself is set in a very relaxed environment and host Ettiene really goes out of his way to provide the best service possible . The breakfast was awesome and any additions that we asked for were arranged for without hesitation. Upon getting back...

Beautiful house, it belonged to a famous painter of recent past and many furnitures and decorations remind the history of the building. Nice pool kitchen. With a Tv in each room and a stronger internet connection it would be perfect for long stays. For one night. As we did, it is simply excellent. Feeling like at home.

Very friendly owners, outstanding breakfast and marvelous (big) dogs. It was for us a quite and affordable place from where we could visit the wine region up to Franshoek which is more crowded in peak season.

Really lovely setting, lovely room. Very large bedroom and bathroom, loved the massive shower! Great service, very friendly staff and we thoroughly enjoyed our break even though one of our suitcases had been lost at Cape Town Airport. The manager did everything he could for us. Definitely returning and staying longer!

The farmhouse lies about 7km outside Worcester in an open quiet area set back from the R43 road. We stayed there for 2 nights during a driving tour of S.Africa and only wished we had stayed longer. Our bedroom and bathroom were large, comfortable and decorated in vintage/antique style - as was the dining room. The breakfast and evening meals...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Aan De Doorns is a historic Cape Dutch farm homestead offering warm hospitality in a tranquil "farm-living" setting. The farmstead was built around 1860, the rooms are spacious, decorated with unique themed interiors and en-suite bath rooms. We have family rooms in three and four bed configurations. The fully equipped communal guest kitchen and braai area allow for semi-self-catering requirements. Dinners, packed lunches and or laundry facilities are available upon request. Full English or Continental breakfast is served in the ambiance of true heritage hospitality with preserves and bread from the locally community. In summer the terrace under vine and pool area are ideal for relaxation and during winter we gather around the Welcome Dover to toast the day's experiences in the Breede Valley. ... more   less
