We really enjoyed our stay at Allegria Guesthouse, run by very friendly hosts Annemarie and Jan. From the start our stay felt very homely, the guesthouse offered stunning views of the mountains, surrounded by vineyards and excellent weather. We will most definitely be returning again, hopefully very soon! We would definitely recommend to anyone that is looking for a break... More

We stayed there for two weeks. Starting from location, proceeding with warm welcome and very friendly attention by the staff and ending up with very good service - Alegria guesthouse is the place to stay. We loved every moment over there. Anne-Marie and Jan! Thank you for such a nice place and experience. We wish you lots of success!!

We stayed in the Elephant room, is big and with a nice view but although in the pictures looks nice the bath with a view... If you want some privacy that won't happen because the room is on the ground floor so whoever is around will see inside the room. The room also deserves a furniture/decoration upgrade. Good wi-fi. When... More

Outside of Stellenbosch but handy, especially for local attractions. Clean accommodation and good attention to any problems. Furniture somewhat dated and probably due for an upgrade. Management good and hard working. A senior couple, which rather added to the lack of atmosphere, but not an issue if you're looking for somewhere quiet. Good views, but overhanging bush obstructed from our... More

Stayed for 2 nights and we had such a relaxing time. The welcome was friendly and we were introduced to Jan and Annemarie (and dog), shown around to our rooms and were left to it (which is perfect as it is a guesthouse. If you want to stay on a wine estate then stay on a wine estate). The honesty... More

We returned for the 4th or 5th time to Jan & Annemarie's Allegria guesthouse past November. Over the years the place has become our home in the Stellenbosch winelands. It is located just outside of town, but that is its advantage too as the Allegria boasts a fantastic view over Stellenbosch. It's always nice to see Jan & Annemarie again... More

We booked this after reading the reviews and seeing pictures. It does not tell the whole story. When we first turned into the entry drive, we actually stopped to be sure we were in the right place. It was uneven, patchy ground leading into what seemed like an un-kept drive. It winded us through more bumpy drive until we stopped... More

I stayed for business and owners were friendly and accommodating. The rooms are beautiful and comfortable with air conditioning which helped as it was very hot. Bathrooms were beautiful with shower and bath. The view was stunning to see the beauty of the Stellenbosch mountains and wine lands. Will definitely go back!

We spent a weekend at the guesthouse for a wedding on a nearby property. Rooms are neat, clean and well kept. The view is gorgeous and the grounds immaculate. Service from the couple is also great and easy access to come and go as you please. We stayed in the smaller rooms but the suites available really looked wonderful with... More

The hotel really is a picturesque as it looks on the photos. It is situated slightly outside Stellenbosch but within easy access of all the vineyards and restaurants. The owners Jan and Anne were so friendly and very knowledgeable on the area. The room was very comfortable and the breakfasts delicious. We had a great time and would highly recommend... More
