Very good golf course though fairway was in bad shape. Nice and clean apartment and very serviceminded staff in the restaurant. Pool area is not very cosy. The estate is very cose to Stellenbosch and nice wine testing.

Thank you for the kind comments. As you know we are suffering a great drought. We are the only golf course in the cape that is self sustainable. We make use of our own grey water and our dam resources. We are the future of how golf courses should be run. With water becoming such scarce resource in the Cape...

We felt very safe to live at Devonvale, well taken care of, but the restaurant menu could have better and larger. Breakfast was also served in the restaurant where we looked out at 1st tee. If the temperature was pleasant, we had breakfast on the terrasse.

Thank you for your kind comment on your holiday on our Estate. Our Chef prefers having a smaller "Menu" and "A la Carte Menu", as he only uses fresh and seasonal produce. The majority of our guests enjoy the restaurant very much, especially as you say, on the terrace overlooking the golf course, vineyard and Table Mountain in the distance.

We booked a budget room which was small but comfortable and clean. Service and food are good. The only drawback is really the golf course which is in terrible shape. And if on top of that the wind is 60 km/h it is just about unplayable. The WLAN is excellent everywhere.

Dear Peter, not sure if you are aware that we are currently in the worst drought the Cape has ever experience. With less than 100 days of usable drinking water left it is surely the biggest crisis we as Capetonians have ever faced. Under the conditions our golf course is in excellent condition. We have received so many compliments from...

We stayed for 2 nights in February. It's a lovely setting with a pristine golf course. We booked a small double room which was a perfect size for 2 nights. The bed was comfortable with nice linen, the bathroom was clean, the shower was huge with a tiny shower head which was crooked and very weak. We were there as...

Dear chloerobinson22 We are pleased to hear that you have enjoyed your stay with us. Regarding the wine and water that was not placed in your room, we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience. We will bring it under the attention of the Housekeeping manager to ensure that it will not happen again in the future. The shower head will also...

Stayed overnight and received a wonderful upgrade to a garden suite from the Management. The welcome from the front of house staff was exceptional. The suite was spotlessly clean, well furnished, wonderful block out curtains, comfortable beds. A great touch was 2 small bottles of complimentary wine from their cellar. Needless to say it was so delicious that we ordered...

Thank you for your kind comments on your stay on our premises. We apologize for the inconvenience you experienced at breakfast, and have told the restaurant manager about this who has taken the adequate measures for improvement. The drought we are all experiencing in our country does make the fairways and the countryside look very dull, and we are all...

We stayed here 2 nights and had a great stay. Explored the region during the day and returned to Devonvale for 9 holes of late afternoon golf on each day, followed by a sun-downer and a very nice dinner in the restaurant. The hotel room was on the small side (however, they did refer to it as "Petite Hotel "Room"...

When on vacation in Cape Town we took a get away for 2 nights at Devonvale. The harmonica that goes through your body when sitting with a glass of splendid wine from their own wine yard is just amazing. The golf court is an experience as well. Wild Springbooks, different types of birds, and of course 18 great greens. The...

Thank you for your kind comments. We are pleased you enjoyed your 2 nights get away on our Estate, and enjoyed our wine. We are sorry you didn't really enjoy our restaurant, even though the chef does use fresh, in-season and local ingredients. Our menu changes very often, maybe the next time you give us the pleasure in welcoming again,...

Nice hotel with a good golf course and nice pool area. Easy to drive to Stellenbosch and the local wine yards. A lot to choose between at breakfast. My only complaint- the beds are to hard and uncomfortable.
