Poor facilities and attitude. Expensive for what you get. Location is good, but dangerous at night. More appropriate for the backpacking kind of person, but priced at hotel rates. Furniture is old and bathrooms could do with an upgrade. Parking is limited and not on site. Felt uncomfortable walking from car to guesthouse with homeless people sleeping on the street...

Warm and friendly welcome received upon arrival. Clean room. Bit noisy when the room next door guests came back in early hours. The light going up the staircase was out of order and the host was aware of this so it was quite dangerous. Otherwise the breakfast was excellent and will stay there again. We booked through booking.com and received...

The web listing is misleading and not a 3 star, in dire need of a makeover. Location is good and rooms are clean. Breakfast was disappointing yet location again great. Staff very friendly. Off street parking not great at night. I have nothing else to add.

My daughter and I was disappointed, because the website was misleading and did not reflect the reality. We stayed in Room 2 and I am not sure if we just got the bad room,. We did not expect the very steep stairway to our room and It took my daughter and I a long time to drag two 25kg suitcases...

The room was actually quite ok. We slept right above the café. The bed slept fine and the room was clean. However we woke up because of the loud noises coming from the café at 6 am (doorbell ringing and loud music an chatting). Breakfast was not that much So it was fine for one night

The service offering was excellent;ie. quick responses to requests, the welcome notes special and this together with the guest house look and feel made it feel like home. The location is also excellent both in terms of recreational facilities and business/meeting facilities

Pleasant stay for 1 night. Location was convenient, could walk to near by restaurants and shops. There was parking provided not too far away. Breakfast took quiet a long time to get served, but otherwise cant complain.

Quirky rooms in an excellent location in central Stellenbosch. Superb breakfast. Rooms are quirky but clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful regarding the town and local area.

Your prepacked breakfast is not tickling my tastebuds. Avoid giving prepacked breakfasts the previous night. During my stay it was windy and I've been woken up by a noise of metal rocking against something. Not the best of stays for me I suppose. The next morning, upon checkout, I had to ring your receptionists bell more than four times...asked the...

“Only rooms 1 and 2 are not facing the street, but they are still very noisy”
  • Very small
  • Very mouldy grout between the tiles. There's evidence this has been painted over to hide it!
  • Seriously disgusting mould in the shower
  • Rickety sink in the bedroom. For what purpose?!
