We took advantage of a "special" (accommodation + dinner and breakfast, bottle of wine, fruitbowl, sherry and beverages in room), for 2 nights, which actually was the same price per night as the daily rate for B & B. This was good value and we found the staff welcoming and pleasant. There could be better communication between the rooms and...

Palmiet Valley Wine Estate sits in a majestic mountain setting at the foot of the Drakenstein range near Paarl and midway between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. The Cape Dutch buildings dating back to 1692 set in beautiful gardens, but wait until you step inside one will find rooms filled with Victorian antique's. I stayed two nights with my wife and on arrival...

Welcome was warm and excellent, personally by the owner and his wife. We spent the sundowner appropriate with a glass of wine and a great chat on the deck. During our stay, the service continued to be very good and the staff was very friendly and ready to help at any time. The buildings and rooms have been restored and...

I am a frequent traveller and have become used to certain levels of service. Visiting Palmiet Valley Estate was a wonderful surprise. The setting is idyllic - breakfast under massive old oak trees, white linen on the tables, excellent breakfast and very friendly service. I was impressed by one of the staff members remembering little details of things we enjoyed...

Nick and I chose Palmiet as our wedding venue after looking at many different options, and we couldn't have chosen better. The staff were very helpful and friendly, rooms beautiful and the honeymoon suite is very cleverly situated with a large lounge area for the bride and co to get ready, food was great especially the night before (they set...

We got married last year at Palmiet Valley Estate. We had been looking at various wine estates, but fell instantly in love with the beauty of the place. It is exquisite, lovely antique furniture in individually decorated rooms, large garden with old trees, great views. We had booked the whole place for our family and friends. We had a wonderful...

The estate is an oasis of calm on the eastern outskirts of Paarl surrounded by some truly breathtaking scenery. It is like stepping back in time as the accommodation is tastefully decorated with antiques and furniture from a bygone age. The staff could not be more efficent or helpful, each inquiry or request from me was dealt with promptly and...
