Sometimes you are lucky and find a place that is unexpected good and charming. We had this experience here in Paarl. The house is an old house near the main street- view on Nantes street- We were welcomed by a very nice and friendly young woman with her lovely little daughter. We felt home immediately. She showed us our rooms(...

Being a European the moment I walked in I had the feeling of a French countryside home feel. Since the building is historical the structure offers luxurious space and cocoons you in an atmosphere of serenity. The decoration black and white tiles in the bathrooms, the antique brasse tabs and exquisite upholstery is just few things I can mention. Shaney...

Beautiful old house! Our room was really lovely with a nice spacious bathroom and old tub. Michelle was the perfect host and made us feel welcome and cared of. We went out for dinner to celebrate my partners birthday and when we came back our bed side lamps were turned on, the bed turned down, and a chocolate on our...

When researching new accommodation on Trip Advisor I usually get doubts about a place when all the reviews are positive. With Nantes-Vue it was unnecessary to worry. I can only echo what all the reviews on this page states. This lovely restored house is situated in a quiet part of town. The owner, Michelle, welcomed me after a fairly late...

We had to visit Paarl for business and found Nantes Vue on Tripadvisor. I Phoned and Michelle, the manager, answered with a warm and friendly voice. When we entered the guest house it felt like visiting friends, the guest house was beautiful and Michelle greeted us all by our names, what a lovely gesture. The food was amazing, Cappuccino in...

We stayed here for one night and wish we could have stayed longer. Michelle was a wonderful host and made us feel very welcome and at home. The rooms are beautiful (don't really think the photos on here do them justice) and she cooked us an AMAZING breakfast, even kindly making up a vegetarian option for one of us. She...

My friend and I stayed in Paarl at the end of 2014 as we wanted to avoid the NYE craziness in Cape Town and visit the famous vineyards - we chose for Nantes-Vue and booked directly with the owner. Everything went smooth from the moment we booked until the end of our stay. Michele was very helpful and arranged a...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The homestead is the original farmhouse of the farm, Nantesvue. The farm was awarded to Jan Coleman in 1692. It was one of the first farms in the Paarl area that was allocated to the French Huguenots. The current stand and house are all that is left of the original farm of 20 acres. The exact date of the erection of the house is unknown, but it seems to be somewhere between 1824 and 1830.During this period the farm belonged to Pieter Jacobus de Villiers. According to local town records, the water mill, Colonies Mill, was already in operation shortly after the farm was allocated. It is evident from the records that at this point in time there were already several buildings on the farm. Nantes-Vue is a beautiful B&B in Paarl and is an ideal accommodation venue in close proximity to Cape Town, the Cape Winelands and various top class golf courses. The town of Paarl is also the starting point of the Cape's famous Route 62. This B&B is situated on Paarl's historical Mill Street. The welcoming corridor of the house leads to a private garden with a splash pool and gazebo. There is also a wooden deck where guests can enjoy the South African sunshine. The four en-suite bedrooms are spacious and have high ceilings that are characteristic of the Cape Dutch style. All rooms are air-conditioned and have its own private entrance. One of the rooms is a quaint garden cottage ideally suited for families. The rooms feature LCD TV's with DStv and DVD players. Free Wi-Fi is available in the communal areas. Every room comes with a seating area and is equipped with an electric kettle and mini fridge. This B&B is stylish while the traditional dining area with its fireplace add a homely feeling. In the evening guests can relax in front of the fire place while reading a book from the B&B's small library. ... more   less

“I have seen only the little guest house in the garden, but there are also rooms avaolable in the main building. I can imagine that the guest house gives extra privacy. It has 2 storeys, upstairs are 2 beds so you have the 1st floor for spending time during the day.”
