A lovely hotel steeped in history. The meal in the restaurant is top class and very reasonably priced. A good wine selection. The downstairs coffee shop make lovely lunches and is great for a light lunch. Lovely hotel and top class staff.

We welcome by a very friendly receptionist. Check in process was quick. My room was very small and bed not comfortable. The hotel restaurant food is not the best, breakfast was not bad. Tried to order breakfast packs around 7 at night and i was told due to breakfast restaurant closed at that time they cant help me. Overall it...

We only stayed here one night on our South African tour,it was like a step back in time, but in a good way. This colonial style hotel is a very comfortable place to stay, very friendly staff, especially the receptionist who made us feel very welcome. We had dinner in the Colony restaurant, sitting on the balcony, everything was perfect. At breakfast, the food is cooked in the dining...

Rooms on the small side. Nice bathrooms. No fridge in our room, which in that climate is poor (although they did provide ice if requested). First room had a noisy aircon however they gave us an alternative room which was fine.

The room looked like it was recently renovated with a small bathroom that had everything close by. I loved that a lot. The air-con in the room was set at just the right temperature and noiseless. Yay.

While taking in the Oudtshoorn sights and visiting family, we spent five nights with our four teenage girls at this charming hotel in December 2016. What a wonderful experience! The hotel is in a magnificent old heritage building and is the delightful blend of old world charm, with all the modern conveniences required. The rooms are beautifully appointed, with modern,...

This old quaint hotel was our base for two nights in Oudtshoorn, first the good; the best breakfast on our three week road trip around South Africa, gorgeous old building lovely history and photographs on the walls. The bad, the bedrooms are very small and offer no comfort or space. The bed was so hard and small my feet were...

Ellehi, Thank you for your feedback. The size of the room and bathroom is a historic fact that we cannot do anything about. The Queens Hotel is the third oldest hotel in South Africa dating back to 1880 with extensions in 1930. We do indicate the sizes of our rooms on our website. We get very little negative feedback on...

Stopping over in Oudtshoorn on our roadtrip we were very, very hot, tired, and hadn't had a decent cup of coffee all day. Driving down the main drag we noticed a coffee shop, Cafe Brule, which was open and where we ordered coffee and cake, both superb. So good, in fact, that when we realised the cafe was part of...

It is always a great stay. Usually we stay there for the KKNK festival because of its location. It has a lovely colonial feeling, a bit dated in some of the rooms but it adds to the charm. Extremely friendly staff , delicious breakfasts , very nice tea room.

Looked lovely in photos but very disappointing in reality. No bar on ground floor - only on 2nd floor but no outside seating. Rooms very disappointing - newly installed bathrooms but very small and no where to put anything. Shelf in shower so high I was unable to reach anything. Breakfast room chaotic with long queues waiting to be served....
