The +: - free parking inside the hotel - excellent welcome, - nice garden, - large room (superior double room), - excellent breakfast, - we received a welcome drink. The -: - the swimming pool was very cold while we were visiting in the middle of the summer.

After a long and beautiful drive from Stellenbosch we arrived at Hlangana Lodge mid afternoon. After a friendly welcome we were shown to our room (27) which was probably the most private as it was not by the pool and was at the end of the row so no one walking past! We were so hot we had a nice...

Despite the location on the outskirts, it is a good starting point for the surrounding sights, also the way to the "city center" is not so far. Friendly staff, nice garden and pool, rooms and breakfast are OK. Recommendable. Unfortunately the surrounding ostrich farms are very touristy.

We stayed 2 nights and really couldn't fault anything. Lovely room overlooking the gardens, pleasant welcome by Anjo with complimentary fizz, superb breakfast with freshly cooked hot food items all of the highest quality. All staff friendly. An added bonus is that several local restaurants will collect and return you for dinner, all organised by the hotel staff. We definitely...

Stayed one night in this hotel with my 87 year old mum, who can't stop saying how lovely it was. A beautiful hotel with lovely gardens and a quiet calm atmosphere. Big room (actually a pair of rooms) with comfortable beds, decent bathroom and a small terrace of our own to sit on. Breakfast was good and the staff were...

Beautiful place and great atmosphere. I highly recommend this lodge. We had an excellent time. Everyone was kind and helpful. I would definitely return. The lady at the front desk ordered food for us and even sent someone to get us some sodas from a nearby grocery. Great place in the beautiful Oudtshoorn.

This a charming traditional lodge. The welcome we received was very friendly. The rooms we were in were individual chalet style with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The decor is a little old fashioned but very clean. The hotel has a lovely cool pool which we were very happy to use on a hot day. The breakfast room is charming...
