I had one night to spend in Oudtshoorn and I sure picked the right place! The B & B was easy to find, right on the main street, the rooms were beautiful and my hosts were the best I've ever had. Hue and Zoe, were totally amazing hosts. I was travelling alone and they welcomed me like famly with a...

Recently spent a night at Baron Van Reede guesthouse as part of a fornight trip to South Africa in late Jan / early Feb. From the first welcome with a cold beer after a long hot drive, Huw and Zoe were nothing but a pleasure to stay with. So very helpful and knowledgeable about recommendations on what to do, where...

Love love loved our 2 nights here on honeymoon in January. Amazing hosts great help with planning our itinerary and keeping us refreshed with cold beers and good banter by the pool. Getting up at crazy o clock to make fresh muffins every day was totally unnecessary but massively appreciated! Special requests met with a smile. Really like these two...

This was a lovely place to stay and a shame that we only booked for one night. We had a warm and friendly greeting from Hew and Zoe. No sooner had we been shown to our rooms, when we were sat with Hew having a welcome cold beer and wine. Hew and Zoe were exceptional hosts who treated you like...

What a shame that we only stayed for one night! The great experience already began weeks before we arrived when Zoe helped us to book the Meerkat Adventure Tour. Lots of emails back and forwards. When we finally arrived after a long day we were warmly welcomed by Hugh and Zoe. We chatted for quite some time and Zoe told...

Huw and Cloe greet and treat you like house guests rather than simple B&B punters. Seemed genuinely interested and happy to chat with us. Huw gave us some good tips for sightseeing/activities, as well as complimentary beer! There is more to do in and around Oudtshoorn than we had realised (had only chosen it as a halfway point overnight stop...

We had only booked a 1 night stay at BVR at the start of our week long drive along the Garden Route. We had a really warm welcome from Zoe and Huw and within 5 minutes of being shown to our beautiful rooms, were sat outisde with Huw with cold beers and wine. He explained in depth what there was...

We stayed here for 2 night in October 2011 while passing through on the way to Knysna. The guest house is perfectly located to walk to other local restaurants and cafes, the rooms were clean and comfortable, breakfast was great and the owners Zoe and Hugh really helpful to and interested in their guests. I can definitely recommend it to...

I have never stayed in a B&B before and I'm sad we stayed here first as I am sure it'll never be better. I cannot understand how Zoe and Hue have such enthusiasm for each and every one of their guests, but they felt like friends even though we stayed just one night! We drove up the road to 88,...

Huw and Zoe's enthusiasm for being first rate hosts is tangible. On a very hot day, the welcome drink - an ice-cold beer - was perfect, as was the way Huw & Zoe explained how things worked and what to do to get the best out of even a short stay in the area. We had an unexpectedly special evening,...
