We absolutely loved our stay at Boesmanskop - it exceeded our expectations at every level from start to finish. We arrived late on Saturday evening and were greeted warmly by the owner Tinie, the property has been in his family for three generations. We walked ourselves up to the loft room which was decorated thoughtfully and with an understated luxury....

Having travelled South Africa extensively on road trips, I can highly recommend this establishment. Boesmanskop (Farm Accommodation) must be one of my favourite places in the world. This is one of South Africa's best kept secrets. The guesthouse is located on a working farm where they specialise in viticulture. Tinie (our host) welcomes you with exceptional service, outstanding dinner and...

It is clear from one or two other reviews that this isn't everyone's cup of tea but we absolutely loved it. It IS remote - it's a fairly isolated farmstead, 20 kms along a gravel road. But its location is stunning. It sits in the foothills of the Swartberg range of mountains and from our window we looked out over...

We had 2 nights at Boesmanskop Farm, what a find! Beautiful, dramatic, peaceful surroundings. Our spacious apartment was full of antiques and quirky accessories. Tinie is an amazing cook, producing outstanding 4 course meals (best soufflé ever!) all served in the lovely old world family dining room. Contrary to other reviews it was very easy to find, just follow the...

We stayed in a really great room, nicely decorated, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious and Tinnie was very helpful and accommodating. The grounds could do with a little TLC and the place is not very easy to find. There is a lot to do in the area, but this guest farm was at least a 45 min drive from...

A great bit of escapism in a rustic setting. Not the easiest place to find. A few helpful instructions would be useful on arrival in the absence of the working owner. The non English speaking staff could not advise us. However, when we finally met the first evening it got better. The 4-course meals were good but too much for...

If you need to feel like home, in a quiet place, surrounded by the mountains, in the middle of nowhere, with no other sound that the cows and the frogs, enjoying a beautiful garden, in a big rustic room decorated with fine taste, you have to go there. Tinie has set only two rooms to keep the quietness of this...

Excellent accomodation. Delicious food. Great hospitality from Tienie, and the lady serving breakfast. We will be back. We enjoyed every moment and have nothing negative about this place. Really lovely. Romantic getaway, and pet friendly!! A bonus, thank you!!!

Thank you for opening up your beautiful house to guests. Otherwise how could we possibly know what delights are hidden behind your gate posts of this remote track miles from anywhere. Total peace, calm, tranquility in a house so chic and refined that it defies words.

This beautiful, boutique hotel has two lovely apartments which are both separate from the main house. One is essentially its own little annex and the other is the second floor of a separate building. While simply furnished, the style and quality are excellent and more importantly completely appropriate for the setting. And WHAT a setting! You step out of the...

“Either upstairs above the barn, huge room and old fashioned bath with candles or the large garden suite (if you don't like stairs and want to sit on the verandah or be near the pool) We preferred the barn but its a toss up”
