A lovely location situated within walking distance to the beach. Accommodation very rustic and outdated but lovely sea views. Unfortunately we had a terrible experience there as we had things stolen on 3 consecutive days, despite locks being changed and the police called out. This was definitly an inside job as no windows were ever broken. I would not recommend this!

The resort is in Noordhoek which is about 35kms/22 miles from Cape Town. The last time I stayed at this resort was 15 years ago now and it was wonderful. What a pity they have allowed it to disentigrate to the basically 'mess' it is now. The position is great with views of the beach and sea. Firstly, the roads up the mountain to the cottages are very narrow and it is virtually inpossible for 2 cars to bypass each other so if there is a car coming down the road while you are going up, one of you has to reverse until you can find an alcove to pull into so that they can pass. The 'parking spaces' for the cottages are only big enough for 1 car so the others must park at the bottom and the occupants walk up. Why golf carts, etc, are not used to ferry people is beyond logic. The unit we stayed in was a doubly story and the upper floor had definitely been upgraded and was very good, however the downstairs was despicable. From very tired furniture to a microwave that had a broken hole in the inside top. The bathroom was terrible, the windows did not close properly, the handles for the doors were about 0.75metre /2 and a haf foot above the ground. The security system could not be plugged in. There was only 1 towel for the 2 of us. The fridge was, well why bother........... I could go on and on. However the view was great.

De luxe Room / Sea View / upper floor (direct under grass ceiling/top - nice) This resort is run down. Has charme of the 80/90s. Rotten carpets, hard mattress, no comfort at all. Lausy breakfast. Withour doubt: fantastic view to the long beach.... but: this resort need not only make up, it needs a total renovation. For us: not any more

On checking in at reception there was no adherence to Covid-19 protocols The Chalet also had zero compliance The furniture surfaces were laden with dust and kitchen appliances had finger prints and food stains on doors and handles There were no towels in the room The TV did not work The telephone did not work The outdoor furniture was broken The fireplace was filthy The manager seemed unperturbed by my report on the state of the accommodation We did not bother to unpack and left within the hour after no attempt was made to remedy any of the above.

This amazing Beach and Nature Resort is situated in a very Beautiful part of Cape Town. Unrivaled views at the food of Chapmans Peak inside a forest setting you will find this lovely thatched establishment with lots of pleasures to experience. A must stay when visiting Cape Town complimented by their Thorfynns Restaurant's cuisine and spectacular views. We will be back with our friends next time!
