Very nice location, great room, clean, views with bikes provided to explore the place. We did several similar priced b&b around the garden route and this one is only a 4 for us for the following raison: place need a little refresh, the breakfast was quite away compared to the other places (were it was perfect). The place gave a...

Situated on Leisure Isle, Knysna, The Amanzi Lodge is in the perfect location, overlooking the lagoon, just round from the heads. It was quiet and tranquil. The rooms, communal areas and the gardens are all beautifully kept. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We made use of the free bikes to have a gentle cycle round the island. We...

My experience here was very positive. Beautiful views of the lagoon and the heads. The staff are very keen to help and always in evidence. Tea and coffee available all day for free. Ideal for walks and bikes are readily available also for free. A very laid back and relaxing experience.

A lovely guest house with eager-to-please staff. Rooms and the hotel in general were of a very good standard. Free use of the bicycles and kayaks was a bonus. Great views from the lodge. Breakfasts were nice and the lodge is in a great location.

We visited Amanzi for the fourth time in Jan 17 and have already booked for next year. It truly is Amazing Amanzi. There aren't enough superlatives to describe the experience. Just go and see for yourselves. From the breakfast on the deck overlooking the lagoon to the shuttle transporting guests to restaurants in the evening. Afternoon complimentary tea is a...

Knysna has become very overgrown and this, lodge is in a great , scenic and quiet location. It is a simple place but very comfortable. The staff is lovely and very gracious and helpful. Unfortunately we experienced a lot of rain during our stay but we still enjoyed our experience.

We have spent many months at Amanzi Island Lodge (both with the old and new team) and feel that this is one of the most beautiful and well managed guesthouses in all of South Africa. The location on Leisure Isle right at the waters of the Knysna lagoon is breathtaking and offers endless possibilities for walking, swimming, kayaking or simply...

How we agree with the previous reviewer. We couldn't work out who was in charge, think it may have been Lovemore but he was little in evidence. Miriam on reception was a delight and most helpful. Breakfast starts at 8am and one morning there was no fruit salad until after 8.30. Two mornings there was no marmalade! Afternoon tea and...

Dear Rodney and Pat Catherine and I would like to thank you for your review. As owners we read all reviews and input (good and bad) is considered, shared and acted upon if required. Difficult to give a rating to this establishment. We stayed here when the previous owners were in residence and it was a charming guest house, so we decided to return. The place has changed under the new owners who we are given to believe live in Cape Town. It is now run by "managers" of whom there seemed to be...

This place certainly shows how much they care about their customers. From the moment we walked in we were made to feel so welcome .All the little touches in the room were so delightful -- even the sprig of lavender on the face clothes was a lovely touch. The next morning we took advantage of the free bikes before breakfast and...
