This hostel is very cute and very personal. The owner is such a lovely lady and very involved with her guests, and she has been for 19 years! The only downside to this hostel is that there are no lockers provided and that it's quite small (as in space) in general. We left after only one night because Knysna itself...

If you are travelling on the Garden Route, do not miss to spend a night at this place. Super cool people are hosting you in this female touched hostel. Beautifully designed by mother and daugther, this place is cute and comfortable. A warm and truly personal service without any unnecessary pampering. Niel gives you the best advices on restaurants or...

The Knysna backpackers was a really good accommodation during my trip on the garden route. It was cosy and clean, had the feeling of a mansion - especially the front porch- and really helpful staff. The recommendations according to the activities were great. I would have missed out on a lot. The 24h attendance at the reception made it feel...

We found the hostel OK but it wasn't particularly welcoming. Location of use it was on 20 min walk from the waterfront which was handy. We found that the staffs weren't particularly welcoming. Also as a baz bus stop we expected them to have a check out that would accommodate for us. However it was a 10am check out, which...

We stayed here for two nights and had no complaints. The room we had was gigantic, the beds were really comfortable and there was plenty of hot water. The terrace out front is a nice place to sit with a good view. It would have been a 5 if there were more spaces to eat breakfast/dinner as it could get...

After visiting Oudtshoorn, Knysna was our next destination. We drove to Knysna via "George" (Hilly Terrain). Since we were 10 of us (including children), we were given a Large Hall type Room with Bunker Beds. Kids always loved climbing-up those Beds. Attached Kitchen was very useful and we could cook as per the ration available with us. Hostel was also...

In this hostel we met the friendliest young owners of a hostel ever. They explaines us everything we can do in knysna. Gave us recommendations where to eat. She let me use her computer because I had to do some work. The dorm was clean and big enough for us. Nice experience

This backpackers was really nice and the staff were friendly and breakfast was great. However the decor was not very modern when I visited and looked like my grandmas house!!! Also wasn't very reassuring when we were told by our guide not to leave the hostel unless he took us as the area surrounding the hostel was/is not very safe.

It's a quiet place and nothing really happens there. If you travelling your own don't go there. We didn't felt welcome and everything we asked was sort of a problem or not available. Even if we asked for some pepper for an egg it was a problem. He said he did not have it and we actually saw it standing...

Just 2 blocks away from the main road but in a very quiet area, the Victorian house is a bit small and cramped especially the kitchen. Rooms are fairly spacious though. The Manager is quite helpful. You can add on breakfast for a small fee but their rooms rates are slighlty high. They have a night security for cars which...
